What does eBay necessarily keep track of?

Hello everybody,

Question - Does eBay keep track of the phone you use to call in a stealth account? Lets say, one of my stealth accounts received an easy MC099. Most of the time, the easy fix is just to call them and chat and then they unblock your account. Reason being, your account is just new, it happens sometimes. Am I able to call them, using my cellphone that was used in a old/banned account? Do they keep track of the phone used to call in with? I can't call in using my google voice account because... I would rather not pay money for some long a** minutes with an eBay rep. Can I call in as much stealth's with my cellphone as I want?

Another question while I am here asking. When I log into my google email account on my VPS to get my stealth eBay information, eBay doesn't have any idea that is happening right? haha, just my paranoia.

1. Yes, they do keep track of what phone you call in from and that can get your new account banned.

2. You're safe as long as your VPS isn't using a recycled IP that's been banned already.

When in doubt assume they track EVERYTHING. It's easy these days, your calls are routed through computers anyway.

We know they track IP, Phone, Bank, etc... I suspect they go further than that just. They seem to be looking more into verifying ID's at this point and my gut feeling says they probably have a timing system. My theory being the easiest way to catch a stealth account is see how fast the new user works, if you sign up with a new account and can blast through the listing page that's pretty much a guarantee that you got experience. I'm not 100% sure that's in place right this second but I've had better luck working slowly in the beginning, work quick and the accounts seem to get banned more often.

So yeah, assume they track everything.

There are four primary things that eBay keeps track of to link, suspend, or ban you.

1. IP Address.

2. Browser and Flash Cookies.

3. Personal Account Details.

4. Same Account Activity.

That's why it's best to use a real phone to verify your accounts. It looks more legit, and if you ever have to call ebay (or if they call you), you'll be covered. Just get the cheapest prepaid you can find (most comes with free minutes).

It's fine to log in to your email from any computer but make sure in the gmail settings you have images turned off by default (Settings -> "Ask before displaying external images"). Otherwise eBay could possibly track you due to beacons hidden inside of images within the emails. Google did start hosting images on their own server a while back, which should eliminate that problem, but it's still better to be safe than sorry you know? With external images turned off, you can open your emails wherever (you can even have them all forwarded to one central email). Just make sure to never actually reply unless you are signed into the proper account though.
