What do you tell people you chat with when they ask you what do you do for a living/job (as an internet marketer and seo consultant)?

I just say that I run a couple of web marketing projects. I detract from saying Internet Marketing because of its, general, negative connotation associated with it from those who don't know much about it.

I tell people what I actually do, shake one off on camera for the bigger boys.

Good question,

You work to service them, indirectly of course, like it or not :)

Cheers,
Commoner

Wow. So you still remember that thread that was posted some years back?

Guy was like, "How much monkies can I put in PayPal". I blanked out.

I wish I could have been here for that.

I tell any one who asks that I am a Consultant. Any clients or competition that I have are consulted on what they need and where they need to be. My clients, they need to be on the front page. My competition needs to be passed the 10th page on Bing, Google, and Yahoo for any keyword.

How about start writing some legit answers instead of being a 10 year old all over again?

I just tell everyone I don't work. Makes all the people asking for money to go away.

If you seriously don't know what you do for a living & have to ask other people that makes you "disabled".

I always reply with Online Gynecologist, then if they are female, ask if they want a consultation.
