Mod and Exec VIP accounts for sale?

most interesting thing is that email sender(scammer) saying that he has 2 accounts
so bhw staffs can check it by the logs ,whether any mod can have jr.exc accounts too
and how that email sender can have forum members email? how many of you recvd that same offer email,
those who gt offer email,analyze whether their emails are in public in common

Pretty sure it is 100% fake. No Mod would just start emailing random people trying to sell an account.
I trust all the Mods but a crooked Mod could make more than $2200 WITHOUT selling the account.
Looks to me like just another scammer trying to trade in on the Mods names.
It would have been more believable if the guy had said he had 2 Exec accounts for sale or offered to make somebody Exec.

Not everybody will realise it is a scam.
The point of discussing it is to protect some fool who might fall for it and to protect the good name of the Mods.

i am in the camp that thinks there is no Mod doing this .. just someone who got a couple of emails from here , and decided to try his luck
maybe there are some people in here who will fall for a deal too good to be true .. what do they about those deals usually...... ?

plus think about it .. would you rather buy something like that or EARN it ?

What's the advantage of an Mod account used by another person?

People as WizGizmo can identify and delete the selled account in few minutes from suspect activities (approved scam threads etc...)

How the hell can you assume someone else's exact persona on a forum?

Can't be done.

Not by an account that regularily interacts with everyone.

Only an account with very little interaction could be done that way. Is he selling all his e-mail addresses too? How will the forum send him information behind the scenes when he has to moderate something?

Aside from that, anyone who reads this forum can spot everyone's signature in a sec. If I ever start giving short troll posts all the time or stop talking about Local seo, its not me. If skyrocketSEO stops being sarcastic, or Peweb starts talking about ..... anything that makes sense, or RedRubies fails to mother someone, it would be spotted in a sec.

There is no way the other mods would not notice that suddenly OldSalt started using the word "Meh".

It's just some loser user taking advantage of other losers in a way that they cannot complain.

I don't see anyone opening a shitlist thread about being scammed out of the money (untraceable crypto currency) they paid for a Mod account.

We just need to find that scumbag and burn him down.

time before someone becomes trusted enough to be accepted
as a Mod on BHW.

its probably bs , but on caution if i recall correctly it has been known way back
for a mod to be demoted , or banned? im talking yrs ago
never hurts to be sure as we rely on u guys above us

Yes, it is true that a couple of Mods were either banned or demoted in the
past, but that was for different reasons than selling their accounts.

Since Damien came on board, there have been no incidents of Mods
being banned or demoted. Damien runs a tight ship here and he has
has gained the respect of the members as well as the staff. You can
rest assured that he will not allow any funny business to go on in BHW.

I did some searching in the forums. I am seeing that deserving members have been promoted to levels above JR Vip, moderator status, and moderator in training status a year or so after Damien took over the forum. It shows he was for the betterment of this forum. The email RK received was obviously a ploy for money or to discredit staff and higher ranking members. That is just pathetic to me. Whomever sent those emails need a good kick in the arse.
