Where is Detective W130SN? He should have solved this already.

I sent the sheriff a PM telling him about this thread. Although he is not obligated this is right up his alley! :)

Will you take $1800?

Just kidding. If a mod did want out though, why would they care if the fake mod got caught after the fact?

Damn.

Talk about a catch 22. He can't show you the accounts otherwise he exposes himself, yet noone is gonna fork over $2200 unless he can somehow prove he owns the accounts.

I hate to say it, but he almost writes like a mod. And wouldn't a scammer just try selling 1 fake mod account? The fact he's claiming to posses another shill account.... just seems a bit too real.

To really make this work, he'd have to build a line of trust with someone who does not share the same ethics as Rabbit King. Then maybe show that person the accounts and make the transaction. IF there is any legitimacy to what he's claiming.

The only thing that worries me is mods are very very smart. If this guy is legit and transfers the accounts. He could most likely school the buyer to pass WizGiz's questions. And if Wiz asks a question he wasn't schooled on, all he'd have to do is email the seller for the answer.

Again, not trying to discredit the mods on here. But if someone was really determined to pull this off, I see no reason why it couldn't be done.

1st Thing, It is Fake, Scam.. 2nd Thing. You better contact some Mod and Send them Email ID who send this, So they Might track the User ID of that Email if he is a member here.

It was in the original post before WizGizmo smudged it out so I am assuming he has the email. If the staff need
the email again or anything I will send it.

Or, the email sender could be someone who wants people not to trust the mods. or just someone who's got too much time at their hands.

$2200 is nothing for a mod's account. Mods take too much pain to earn the respect they have, and the sad part is, most people don't even know what it takes. a small example would be, BigBuddy travelled to another town to resolve a shitlist, long back. Thats the kind of integrity mods have on BHW. How many people would do that?

should have replied to that email before posting this thread...
now hes reading this thread so I doubt anything's gonna happen.

Also how many guys have got the emails? maybe see who was the common guy b/w the contacts or services you've bought...

Somebody was kidding with you.
Let PM me that email i will try to find who was kidding with you :).

It's most likely a scam. There are only about 20 mods in total on BHW and I don't think any of them would fck BHW over for 2k.

We can even scratch the mods who are admins at the same time from the list, like 7878 and Damien. The ones in "training" like CrazyFLX, and the ones created after 2010 like TheArticleman.

That leaves us with only a small list containing only people like Meathead, Wiz, OldSalt, Taco, Zen, BigBuddy etc. and I don't think any of them would ever do that.

That's why I think it's fake.

Shouldn't you have FIRST investigated/played on with the emailer before publishing a public thread? lol Would have been awesome to know who this "mod" is.. lol

This is becoming crazy now, scammers everywhere,Mods here are respected and trusted and I cannot believe this at all

Probably it fake....but you can never know, there is always a possibility its true!

I got the same email. Noob Noob scam :)

To sell a mod account for only $2200 would be ludicrous. You could offer me 100x that amount and the answer would be the same - NO SALE. Although none of you know me personally, my integrity means the world to me and simply could not be purchased for any price. In addition, as my good friend Wiz pointed out, buying that account even for the low price of $2200 would be equally as ludicrous. The change in personality and posting tactics would be spotted in about 10 mins. Mods and Admin posts are noticed so any change in those posts would also be noticed.

If I came out with some slimy BST tomorrow, people would notice that this was way different then my past posts. If I started sending out PMs offering some 'great deal' to a bunch of members, how long do you think for that to be reported?

What you received has to be a scam. I can't see any of our mods offering this deal nor do I see how someone could take advantage of it even if it was 'legit'.
