Hello Melvin. The social share buttons are not required, because we will generate them externally if they're not present. You will also be provided with a direct url to those button for monitoring purposes. Those urls could also be used to embed the buttons on your site later on, if you wish to do so.

The audience pool for the Google+ is very larger. It's not the same accounts which are +1-ing the sites, but mostly different ones depending on the time when the promotions are running.
