Mods in the BST section approving more junk

I have purchased numerous services.

I do not blame the Mods as they are doing a job and cannot control all aspects of the environment.

Many times I have purchased a seo service without any effect. I have even purchased PBN links which do not send out any reports with no gain in serps. I have done PR, Blog Comments, GSA services, Web2.0, PBN's, Article Writing and more.

~90% of sellers have offered what they promised
~90% of sellers delivered on Time on first sale
~60% of sellers were late in delivery second and third time around
~40% of sellers did not communicate at all about the progress or lateness

Only a few actually affected the serps and I have bookmarked and have stayed with them since

I understand that the BST should be more controlled

My only suggestion is all BST Threads should be closed after 6 months and the Seller should create a new one linking to the previous and the new updated service they offer, indicating they are moving with the changing times and have listened to customers suggestions on improvements.

The main thing that's missing is eBay type transparent review and rankings

Thats what the iTrader is for I would think.
I trader is not integrated into the sale process as clearly as rating, if you look at most of bst sellers their itrader are a small percentage of their actual orders. Most of the buyers don't even know how to leave a itrader rating.

TO ALL:

Arico Jennifer has been permanently banned and his (her?) Marketplace
thread ("Annihilate Google") has been deleted.

FINAL NOTE: From my own experience, I can say that you will not
find a forum with a better staff than BHW. I know . . . I work with
my fellow staffers every day. Granted . . . we may make a mistake
now and then, but I assure you, every staff member I know here has
BHW's best interest at heart.

Special thanks to the members who alerted us regarding Arico Jennifer's
history and false claims. I am sure that you have BHW's best interest
at heart too! :)

Cheers! - "Wiz"

Good riddance, now let's pray that the internet riots don't start...

Just to add to this and reiterate, this is one of the very few forums that have such strict controls in place where trades are allowed. Judging by the number of trades that occur on a daily basis through this site the amount of scams are tiny in comparison.

Remember guys we are all human and we can all be fooled, miss something or make a mistake. The great thing about this community is the way everyone watches each others backs in most cases.

Ha! I was one of the last posters on that thread for his (her) services. Did sound WAY to good to be true,... was about to run her services and hold her to her incredulous guarantee of #1 rank on page #1 of google (which, incredibly,.. he/she posted this guarantee PUBLICLY on the thread). would have ordered it too, within a day or so - just to hold her feet to the fire on it... no one makes a gaurantee like that.. no one. pure fluff

Yep! . . . Like they say . . . "If it sounds too good to be true . . . " :)

Increasing the price is not the way to solve this problem.

for anyone who missed this thread it's available on google cache - I recommend it for a laugh

Actually, ranking with BH methods can get one to first position within a month but the effect only lasts for a little while. When it comes to approving BST threads, mods are professional in the respective section(s).

I'm unsure on the hierarchy of approvals but if the Seller has provided mod(s) with a detailed report, seems logical to approve and whatever claims Seller makes has nothing link to approval process (unless really exaggerating).

Anyhows, DD has suspended thread as well as stated that approximately 40% was rejected so it was agreeable to a certain extent.

Lets do our best to make this forum a better place together.

Warmest Regards,
Commoner

I agree with both mods, buyers and sellers on what they say here:

- more rigorous reviewing of threads
- raise price of BST opening cost, and raise post limit. I personally would be happy to pay $100+ for a BST.
- Integrate the itrader better into the sales process

essentially in order for BHW to stay a trusted place to buy SEO services we need to weed out the crap services from the quality ones. you'd be surprised how many sellers price high just to say.. you get what you pay for... and its still shit.

Mods, do take a fresh look at how we can keep BHW trustworthy :)

One possible solution is the service/product to be reviewed by more than one mod. One mod would be from the BST approval team(as usual) and other one randomly chosen just to review the quality of the service and inputs for buyers with detailed review. Every thread should have first 2 posts from these mods with at least one detailed review from either of them.

Other possible solution is to have a point system (based on quality) for sellers. Like new sellers will be allowed a maximum of say 2/3 complaints and if it hits the mark, the sale thread should be temporarily locked for 'n' days or until the problems are resolved. Before resolving the previous issues, they shouldn't be allowed to open a new sale thread. This way quality will always be kept in check and ensures the sellers doesn't get away with giving quality service to the mods and below par to other clients.

I have to disagree with this point. No BST seller should refund you your money if your site didn't rank. If you are expecting your site to rank with just a bunch of PBN links then you are delusional. You should understand that SEO is not about a few links. You need to look at the bigger picture and understand how to properly build links. PBN links act as a stimulant but they alone cannot rank your site.

But if the seller fails to deliver on his promise or the links you received are of lower quality than advertised then yes, you should be entitled to a full refund.
Well then why he makes promises, that it will rank your site?

If you have a possible solution, let's hear it . . .
I may have one.

Well first, why don't make some status codes. New services gets orange badge, color or whatever, services that has +100 good reviews and less than 5 bad ones gets green color. Any service that is 6 months old gets red code unless is updated and has mostly good reviews. I hope you know what I mean

Second, why don't let sellers makes claims?
I mean we are Internet marketers we make claims to fool people or make them want our *whatever* more than others.
Just make it a rule that they can't make any claims.

Seller thread, should be strictly says -:

- What do they offer
- Prices and Packages
- FAQ
- Contact
- Order Button

Thats its, no more and without all the text that comes with it, why you need it or how good it is. If it is Tiered links, then it should say you will get 100 T1, 200 T2, 500 T3. And describe amounts and types of links. Provide sample and optionally provide link to existing thread which describes Tiered Link Pyramids.

Lets look at this BST thread http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/seo-link-building/679361-niche-ninja-niche-relevant-permanent-homepage-posts-google-page-ranking-3-blogs-hexa-cms-35-obl.html It could be presented with much less description and still have all the relevant info. 8 First paragraphs are useless, and probably is skipped out by most people (This particular thread). Also those themed sells thread, they look cool and sometimes fun to read BUT it is pointless and usually threads are much longer.

Edit: Another thing about that ninja niche ..., see their 5th post in that thread. Text that came after answering people till the part of getting discount and reviews copies available, it was useless (and not to mention size of the text).
BTW I am not bashing seller is just I had opened tab of their service :P

The beef I have is the Mod review, obviously if someone was providing a service they are going to give the mod the best possible service they can in order to get approved. Then after they get approved they can do what ever they feel like. I think the threads should be auto approved then the mods should randomly PM people who bought the service to see how they found the service. This way the person providing the service needs to be providing the best possible service every time to avoid their thread getting banned.

I say this because I have bought services which mods have raved about yet when I ordered that service I know I did not get treated the same way.

Since everyone is throwing in their 2 cents (even people who don't even sell here ;)) If you should
so entertain let me throw in my couple of cents worth. In my opinion everything worked just as it
should. Members of this community spoke out and resolved the issue without one single issue.

While no system in place is 100% perfect the moderation system at BHW is top-notch in comparison
to other marketplaces and forums. Starting threads like this and causing unnecessary drama doesn't help
a diddly bit.

Instead of trying to revolutionize a marketplace that works pretty damn good for a forum based market
why not revel in the victory achieved? The scammer was booted thanks to a lot of keen members who
laid out everything on the table. The owner himself stepped in and resolved it.

Again on other marketplaces you can just pay for a sales thread and the Mods don't verify a single thing.
Here at BHW we have a special system that weeds out a lot of trash. For those of you who say the marketplace
is full of junk. Well any free market system is going to have its good and bad, however if a service is bad its going
to slip on down to the bottom and trusted services here by a lot of you guys who posted here will reap the rewards
of a great product and customer support.

Couple of things to consider that makes the BHW marketplace unique:

1. The user has to have 100 post and be a Jr.VIP member. (Won't find that quality bar on other forums)

2. We have a shitlist to call out disputes and resolve issues where Mods forgo quality work time or R&R
to meticulously read blocks of text and make a judgement based on both parties behalf.

^Again you wont find that anywhere else....

3. We have an excellent group of members here who protect the whole community through truth and experience.
You guys know who you are and a lot of you are trusted sellers here.

Bottom line is the system functions pretty damn good :)
Perfect? What is....?

rabbitking, its true that it will never reach 100% perfection but it doesn't mean we should strive for it. Everything can always be improved!

And nobody argue that BHW's marketplace isn't beast among others marketplaces, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't keep improving it and making it even better.

At least, BHW does not delete bad reviews/comments in the sale thread like other forums!
