I don't really want to diss the place that provides so much great info and has helped many people succeed but the BST section is getting filled up with more junk services.

For example, this thread right here:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/seo-link-building/694911-annihilate-google.html ...which is clearly a scam and everyone in that thread is essentially saying so.

The worst part about the BST section is when a moderator just writes, "Moderator approved" or "OP approved".

It seems really lazy, and if the mod is provided with a review copy, he/she should write what they received and whether they were happy with the work. The goal is to safeguard BHW members from shitty services, not to just take money from any Jr. VIP willing to offer it.

Still believe that 100 post count for having a thread isn't good but that's another topic

I see that thread and its getting a lot of attention. I dont know much about the BST area but I hope the guy wont be able to scam anyone.

As always, we can only approve what we see. We take a review and 9/10 times, they will continue the same service throughout. We generally don't write bad reports, so instead of writing something good, something short is enough.
Review copies are usually given out too. We approve a lot of threads and have a LOT to test/go through and while re reject what we deem unsafe or not good enough to go into the marketplace, some inevitably slip through.
NOWHERE/NO ONE is perfect and we always stress that due diligence/common sense when purchasing anything from the marketplace.

We don't just 'take the money' as you put it. A lot more goes into the review process and as staff, we are always looking to improve the process and section in a way that allows us to build up some kind of report of who is decent and who isn't. We are always welcome to suggestions and ideas, but referring to staff as lazy isn't helpful. We can't safeguard everyone from everything, if something seems too good to be true, stay away or at least wait and see what happens. PM a staff member or something discrete.

'OP Approved' usually means that they delivered the service as described, nothing amazing came from it, but did what it says on the tin. If there is something to note or say about it, we will Reviews by staff can also be added at a later date if need. If we weren't happy with the work, it would not get through. No service is 'clearly a scam', we review each and every service individually.

As always, thankyou for your feedback, but always bare in mind, staff are just as much as capable of making mistakes as anyone else, although we just follow a procedure.

I respect your desire to make the forum cleaner, but not sure that it takes positive effect, so far most of the seo services here bring 0 or negotive results)

You should try other services, if the services you are trying are that bad, let someone know, so we can investigate. Feel free to PM me and let me know.

Seems like you're overwhelmed. You need more staff.

I/we are more than comfortable with what's going on, we'd much prefer to take our time and be thorough, then to rush and deal with more negative/bad reviews/comments etc.

I used the word "lazy" with regret and therefore I wrote "it seems lazy" because it's just two words and no word about the service provided. The mods are highly regarded and people look to them to represent and safeguard them. While due diligence is important, and while you guys are human, it seems more often that I see OP Approved and that is all.

In that thread, it is clear that the OP is selling bullshit and claims to be Panda and Penguin proof which should be banned from sales threads. Then comes the question whether he delivered to you, in that review copy, exactly what it says in his sales page. People want to know that.

if service didn't give any good results then do not approve it , many shit threads especially at seo section ............. people paying for nothing

We do this already. We base our approvals on what we receive. Instead of saying there are bad services out there, leave an HONEST review on their thread and/or PM a member of staff who will look into the matter.
Again, feel free to PM me, although right now, I'm not convinced that there are "many".

The BST is always "buyer beware". It's not the mods' job to approve every listing's effects, it's just their job to see if what was promised was delivered. If he said he would give the mod 25 comments and he did, it should be approved.

You're in control of your SEO, not BHW.

BHW is a business and it's in their best interest to approve more threads so they get paid more.

So you confirm you actually got 1,000 x .GOV links (PR3-PR6) from comments 200-300 words* long (later changed to 10-300)?
Or did you claim a smaller review? Seems like you're the only one with experience with that BST and I think your input would be greatly appreciated.

* = Edit, meant WORDS and not CHARACTERS as I first wrote..

Schvamp answers it below you. If the mod got what the OP provided, we should know.

Yes I can, I have the report. I had to double check because there's 50 links, but overall the service was completed as asked. (1000 links).

I am personally do not complain, as I think that every one should use comon sense before ordering, but someone still can fail for it, will be grate if mod's after BST approving will live couple of lines about service and suggestions for community, I am 100% sure that any mod can smell bs from this BST 5 miles away.

treat the BST like a used car lot
some cars look shiny and new and have been taken care of
some work well for a while then degrade .

seller bst's are the same, some deliver some dont

The thread is now closed and is under review. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/seo-link-building/694911-annihilate-google-2.html all threads are verified by testing the top service that they list. We reject about 40% as they are just not able to produce the goods. We make this very clear here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f203-bhw-marketplace-rules-how-post/ under marketplace rules and avoid being scammed threads.

Do we get it wrong? Sometimes and we're happy to close out threads and ban offenders. We're not going to risk our community for any amount of money.

How's it gonna be? OP of the BST promised #1 ranking in google within 28(?) days. Mod approved and we still shouldn't take that for given?
I think that the whole idea of buying seo is that we don't/can't do it ourself, otherwise we wouldn't order in the first place.

If the whole community can smell BS from a service, so should mod. As mod is the only one with experience as they are taking reviews they could at least leave a short summery.
It doesn't have to be long, but something is better then nothing.

Most BST do have a disclaimer similar to "We can't guarantee ranking, but we haven't failed so far and do our best blabla...".
Not this one, #1 is promised, so that should also be delivered.

If false promotion is allowed, we could all just move over to WF instead..
Or a stricter requirement of how people are allowed to advertise their service..

First 50, then 1000 links, what do you mean?
How difficult is your keyword?
You rank #1?

Considering all of the services approved and running here on the forum I think the rate of scamming is
pretty low and reasonable. Mods are not baby sitters and they take in the reports/evidence and approve
the thread however they want.

A message saying "OP Approved" or a 300 word report both would not halt an idiot from starting a service
they cannot complete or go through with. Other forums don't even ask for a copy to test before they go live. ;)

Totally agree as does a lot of people, quality has taken a serious nose dive over the past year or so, there was a time it used to extremely hard to get a BST here.. you had to have a unique service, you went through a rigorous review, retarded false claims did not fly, yeah granted the waiting period was longer for sellers but man the quality was 100 times better and that's why BHW stood out as the best SEO market place.. seems now almost anything is approved, the quality has went down and the shit lists keep on piling up.

I know it must be no easy task for the market place mods don't get me wrong, they are only going off what they are presented with in the review process and there's nothing stopping the OP changing what they give actual clients later on.. but some of the false claims within BSTs could be easily spotted even by a newbie novice SEO.
