I thought I would try and see what other people have been experiencing in the last 6 months in regards to negative seo.

I have a site that has been blasted with neg seo 3 times within the last 6 month and looking at my link profile in ahrefs its a suprise it's still ranking. Over 240k bullshit links to my site with my main anchor been blasted 2300+ times according to them. This time last year I experienced neg seo and was penalised within a few weeks.

Has anyone else experienced a lack of effect from neg seo nowadays?

I suspect I will more than likely get penalised during a big update but I don't mind if they lasted that long between each update.

I blasted one of new niche sites with tons of spam links and nothing happened. The site just kept bouncing 2 pages up and 2 pages down just the way it was behaving before the links were built. Therefore, like I said in a different thread, neg SEO apparently doesn't work. Maybe Google has found a way to deal with it.

Think about most people with Penguin slapped sites. They definitely Neg-SEOed themselves and I'll bet you the majority weren't blasting thousands of links with exact match anchors.

There's a way to do it, I won't state it publicly. However, masses of links won't sink a site as of current at least from what I've seen.

Maybe your website is pretty authoritive and that's why G isn't "punishing" you. Just a guess though...

Google is in a tough spot. Right now SERPs are dominated by big brands because that's their safe bet.

By attempting to control links they've made a mess they seemingly can't fix. If they push too hard, neg seo becomes a problem, if they let loose, then they don't make enough $$$ from adwords.
