So what's working for you guys these days in terms of off-page SEO?

Powerful Web2.0s still seem to carry hefty link juice. "Powerful" being the key word there.

Link building will allways be part of SEO. It all depends on the quality. I prefer having my own pnb that i use for my seo stuff.

1 : High Quality write Contents
2 : bookmarking
3: Social media Network

Follow these steps regularly , these are the updates of 2014

Lol noway bookmarking will do the job. High quality PBN, blog posts and web 2.0 will do the job. Focusing on these things will do the biggest part of the job.

To be honest, I havent tried PBN, but heard they still work great. Are you guys referring to personal PBN's or a service off of BHW etc? If its the latter, please refer someone you have used in the past

Cheers

Interesting. So setup your own PBN by buying expired domains with high PR etc and linking to client websites? Wont that be easily detectable by Google if there's a bunch of links coming from these type of sites?

It's interesting that nobody says: good website.
By good, I mean, advanced, using latest technologies, schema org stuff, responsive design, optimized for mobile, lightweight to download and render quickly. Also, you need your visitors to spend more time on your page than they do on your competitor's. Just think about it, how to make them stay longer.
Some places to check: gtmetrix(dot)com, Google PageSpeed Insights.
I outranked a 10 years old authority site with a 1.5 years old one, with only a handful of links. Simple put, visitors started to pick mine from SERP over the authority one, because of better experience.

OP question was about off-page.
I think PBN and web2.0 work in 2014.
