Website hanging on page 3 of google

Hey BHW,

I have a website that I want to rank locally, then do cyber landlording to make a monthly income from it.

I have a facebook page with 22 likes, pay $187 a month for a "backlinking" service, use this plugin called serp shaker to add more content, and even payed for PPC through google and facebook.

The keyword is Atlantic County Dentists and the website is by the same name.

I was at page 2, now I'm at page 3. Where do I go from here? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, I was kind of leaning towards that direction, but I didn't know if it would be worth the investment. Now I see how difficult it is to get ranked high.

That's actually a good thing for you though. Since you know it's difficult to rank for that keyword, that means more business owners will be willing to pay you for advertising them through the website since it would be hard for them to rank above you.

As how I see it, you are still on the right track. If you want to improve what you currently have, you might consider hiring someone to help you get better content on your website. While you achieve better content and as you get better rankings, you can just wait for advertisers to come.

Going down to page 3 may be a dig of a penalty. Check Manual Actions in Google Webmasters

Well, I have gone through the similar experience in the past, and I started doing niche blog commenting, and started posting content in the form of blogs and articles. For me, directory submission, bookmarking, and guest posts did not worked at that point.

I dont buy that. Not saying you are wrong to do that but in my experience (and certainly in my niche) social links do jack for my sites in the SERPS.
