how can a man that played in so many comedies die suiciding....so screwed up and sad

It's surprising just how many of the biggest funny men/women battle with depression!

Sad day for comedy, been watching this guy for over 30 years. Rarely ever failed to make me laugh.

I enjoyed so many of his movies, both comedies and dramas - it's such a shame that he passed the way he did.

The world is a good bit less funny today than it was before.

RIP Robin Williams
PS. Watching some of his movies again today...

Nostalgia... remembering "Mork and Mindy", would he support the genocide in...

I'm sad about this too. I grew up watching him throughout my childhood in the 80's. My sister loved Mork and Mindy, and watched it faithfully. That's when I first saw him. I'm really taken back. I didn't know he was depressed to the point where he would take his own life. Man, that is so sad. RIP. He will truly be missed and will always be loved.

My sister met him on a plane when he played Mork. He gave her his autograph. She said he was making everyone on the plane laugh. He went into a comedy routine right on the plane with one funny line after another. He was very gifted.

Now I just read that Lauren Bacall died. She was a legend. One more left. It always seems to happen in threes.

RIP Robin Williams.
Sad to see you go the way you did.

My brother met him years ago when you go into a computer store to buy PC's. He was working in a computer store on Geary St in San Francisco. Robin Williams went into his store and they talked and my brother sold him a computer. My brother didn't know who he was at first but he said to RW "You look familiar". Afterwards, of course, he found out who he sold a computer to.

RIP Robin Williams.

Great actor. I'll remember him as Alan Parrish forever. Jumanji has always been one of my favourite movies since childhood. Mrs Doubtfire as well of course.

Very sad day for the film industry and the world. He was a great talent. Will be missed...

one of the worlds most loved comedians commits suicide....you know the end is near.

First movie that comes to mind is "What Dreams May Come" where Robin has to rescue his wife's soul from hell after she commits suicide...wtf

I knew you were ;)

That song is now stuck in my head too. You know what else is stuck in my head today? "You know how to whistle, don't you Steve? You just put your lips together, and blow." Now they're together for eternity. They had a great love for each other.

Robin Williams was probably the best comedian type actor. He brought laughter in my life when i was down R.I.P.
