Hey Guys,

So here's the situation:

(sorry about the long-winded background info)

I have a website that I've SEO'd pretty well for a specific keyword, and is driving affiliate traffic to a merchant through CJ.

Because of a bad experience I had with a previous merchant who figured out my keywords, and started competing with me (which pissed me off beyond belief), I have become very paranoid about direct-linking from my sites without taking precautions such a blanking referrer, etc.
CJ doesn't allow you to blank referrers so here's what I have been doing in the hopes of "masking" my actual website from the new merchant: Instead of setting the affiliate link up directly onon the money website, I am instead redirecting site visitors (with a referrer blank) to a secondary site, and from that site, there is an auto-redirect setup that puts them through the CJ affiliate link to the merchant?

Ex: google traffic ("green widgets") ??> buygreenwidgets.com (money site) ?--> widgethq.com (secondary site) ??--> CJ affiliate link

On both the money site, and the second site, I am using a plugin similar to Pretty Links to manage the redirects?

CJ contacted me yesterday and told me that it was against their TOS to utilize redirects?.my question for you guys is, does anyone know of a way I can hide my money sites (without getting banned from CJ), or somehow make it look like the traffic is purely coming from the secondary site without them seeing the redirect? I just want to protect my money sites?.

Thx for any advice...

Try a meta redirect I used that recently for another purpose when my 301s were getting caught in the net.

If you are paranoid about the redirecting, you don't need to use any redirecting for your CJ aff link.

So you can shorten the process. e.g:

google traffic ("green widgets") ??> buygreenwidgets.com (money site) ??--> CJ affiliate link

You insert your CJ aff link into buygreenwidgets.com. This is enough and you can make sales with this method.

But there problem there, is that then CJ (and in turn the merchant/advertiser) then knows the exactly what the moneysite is.....my goal is to hide the actual money site, so the merchant can't copy what I'm doing.....

Sure it`s possible, use CPA-Redirector or IMBandit redirector. Use search box and find the owner of IMBandit redirector here.

Cheers

Thanks; I'll check them out!

There is a fake referer method posted so long time ago in the forum, you will hide your keywords by faking the referer ;)

there alot of cpa redirectors out there that claim to be safe, maybe worth some research into them
