Need some advice with spam site

Hi guys,

I have been lurking here for a while and finally decided to make my first attempt at building a website, and monetizing using blackhat SEO tactics.
I don't necessarily want to get rich using blackhat SEO (well, it would be cool if I did...), but I mostly want to learn new things and make a bit of money on the side while I do.
So far the whole operation isn't going so well , maybe I could get a little advice?

I scraped a list of games from the internet and republished them on a webpage offering a free download for the games (the download links don't work, I live in the UK and I believe it is illegal to publish pirated content).
Each page has a list of reviews for that particular game so the pages don't look duplicated

The idea was that people would find the page via google and I would monetize using affiliate links and adsense.

Not only do I get very little traffic from google, my monetization technique is working poorly, (adsense and affiliate links).

I want to spam my link on the internet but I am worried that google may blacklist my website. I am also considering using other advertisement techniques such as pop-ups and survey content locks - but once again this would hurt my ranking with big G.

Do any of you more experienced guys have a few words of wisdom for me?

You skimped on the seo aspect of your strategy because you didn't perform any keyword research. To get a significant amount of traffic from search engines, you need to target keywords that get searched at least 500 times a month.

Ok, I will take a look at those things.
I had a question about number 5, is it possible to automatically generate videos (using a series of images and sound)?
I am pretty familiar programming a few languages (e.g ruby and python) but I couldn't find a library allowing me to use programming to automate the process of video generation.

I spent a few days making a piece of code in ruby which automatically spams relevant questions in yahoo answers with an answer that looks questionably relevant to the topic (a mix of keyword searching and other language processing shenanigans).

It works pretty well but I am worried that if I use my software to spam YA google will detect that all my backlinks are from yahoo answers and my site will get blacklisted.
What do you think of this tactic, should I go ahead with it anyway?

As you can probably tell by my reply I know a couple things about writing code, but my SEO knowledge sucks.

The idea was that because all the pages in my site are automatically generated, I would continuously generate new pages slowly enough to not arouse the suspicion of Big G but at a rate which allows me to discover strong search topics purly through trial and error. (I do bias new page generation towards games which are more popular, but I don't link this to any keyword popularity metric).

I could factor in key word popularity into my code, I will research this it is certainly something to consider.
The problem is that the more popular a keyword is the more competition there is, which doesn't help me as my SEO strategy and monetization technique sucks.
Maybe I could try and find a cross between strong keywords and weak competition?

I was thinking about monetization, will popup ads and locked content reduce my google ranking?
If so, how do I increase my monetization without killing my site on SERP results.
