Internet speed downgrade?

Hey!

Today I have noticed that my internet slowed down t 0.5 mbp/s while it was around 6 mbp/s. May it be caused because I have used too many (50) connections for blog comments at fast poster? Could something like this happen with scrapebox?

Also I want to mention I was using 10 proxies. Just wonder if such thing could happen because of it to avoid this kind of problems in future.

Don't get bothered, your internet connection goes down not because of the software you're using, it's because you're changing your proxy.

is it permanent? or is it back to normal now?

if it's permanent, then maybe your ISP is throttling your speed
you don't really notice it, but these tools can use a lot of bandwidth = data
if you're on a limited connection and if you reach your allowed quota, you'll be capped

but if you disconnected and reconnected your net and the speed is back to normal, then maybe the proxies/too many threads at once what's fucked up your connection

i'm running 6 instances of a bot on my notebook, each with 100 threads and sometimes it fucks up the connection, so i need to reconnect

Speeds do keep fluctuating and yes, if you use 50 connections, some ips would force a significant speed drop.

Well everything was fine till I have start a "fast poster" using 20 connections with my 5 mb internet. It has dropped to 0.5mb/s and I had to call my internet provider to fix that. They said that my router changed the limit to 0.5 mb/s and they fixed it. I was restarting my router and nothing was happening. Any ideas how to avoid this in future? Use less connections?

i've never heard of such a thing that a router would limit a connection then when you restart it, it won't go back to normal
but what do you mean by restarting? unplugging (doesn't restore the factory settings) or resetting (restore the factory settings)? because if you reset it and everything went back to factory settings, the limit which was set earlier (i still don't really get how is that even possible btw), should be gone too
i'd say it's some pretty lame excuse from your ISP, they can't do anything with your router from a distance especially w/o knowing your login credentials to the admin interface, they can manipulate the connection only

it's pretty weird, but if your ISP said they didn't limit you, try talking to scrapebox support and ask how to configure your router properly
or just post here the exact type of your router and maybe others can help
i'm not really big at configuring routers, but maybe there's something you can do

The limit to 0.5mb/s was set automatically. Im 100 % sure that was because of scrapebox fast poster. Such a thing never happend to me in my entire internet life. I guess it may be something like spam protection or the ISP system treated it like a DDos attack or something like that.

So now im using only 10 connections and will see if it's still to much or not. Well maybe someone will teach from my mistakes and learn that something like that can happen to him .

And now, I haven't tried to restart my router to factory settings. Well maybe next time (god no please) I will google how to do it and make it. But dunno what the technical guy exactly said. As I remember he said that something went wrong and he see that my internet is limited to 0.5 mb/s instead of 5. He restarted it to bring normal connection back and "voila". Maybe it was not because of router but just something with connection.

My router is: „NETGEAR DGN1000 ". I have never configurated it at all. Just don't want to fuck up something in settings .
