Quick question....

Lets say I run an offer on media traffic, and I'm using a simple pop up to display my ad.

So when the user is browsing along at my target site and my offer pop's and they complete the offer they would of course track in my stats.

But what if the user closes down my pop and completes the offer through the original page they landed on in the first place, in this case would the offer still track?

If not, is there a way to make it track?

Thanks

If they have a cookie on their computer it should track... closing a window wont delete the cookie...

what if i erase the cookie too...then will they be able to trace me up??I think there is some session time also in the cookies...so they expire after some time!!!

You would need to explain how exactly you are tracking, and what information you are trying to track.

Just a little note though, all of media traffics popups are in an I.E. window, so you will not record any sales/leads from a person using firefox who closes out your popup window.

Yeh most cookies will be valid for 30 days, obviously some merchants have different validity periods, but 30 days is the average. If someone deletes their cookies and then goes on to buy, you won't get your sale. And as bizcredit said, closing the window will not delete the cookies. However, some people will have their browser set up to clear cookies when it's closed, which isn't great for any affiliates!

Wow didn't know that!
