As eBay sellers you guys probably know that in August there are gonna be some pretty big changes that will be made to the requirements of becoming a top rated seller.
One of the biggest changes is the fact that we now need tracking to be validated by either USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL for it to count towards the 90% upload requirement (inputting a random or fake tracking number won't work anymore).

As a dropshipper I don't have much control over when an item ships and which carrier is used, and it's already tough enough maintaining a top rated seller status with the current requirements (uploading tracking numbers for at least 90% of all shipments within 1 business day). Now that the tracking numbers need to be validated as well, it seems almost impossible, especially since my dropshipper uses some smaller shipping carriers as well. So question is, any of you out there know a way to get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Yes, Start buying extra stock from your dropshipper so you end up having stock on hand..

I cant find anyway around this. You did mention that that they are also decreased the transactions with a flaw/defect % to 2.00. This is going to also get a a lot of people. But to answer your question. I see no way around the tracking requirement.

ebay keeping their shipping partners happy, all one big club

Yeah I've been testing with fake tracking numbers, old/used tracking numbers, etc. and it seems like theres no way around this. my dropshipper takes on average 1-2 days to ship so half the time i won't even make the 1 day handling time requirement.
Seems like dropshippers are gonna be at a huge disadvantage now :(

Ebay really putting the squeeze on all of use small guys. Amazon has done the same with Fulfillment by Amazon...big get bigger by crushing the small guys.
