Thought I'd make a post in this new section to ask a question I've been pondering recently. I'm not an expert in cryptocurrency but I'm interested in what you all have to say. Bitcoin and other altcoins are a really cool new thing allowing people to purchase things online mostly and even a bit in person. But how large can it actually grow when the prices are so unstable. It really restricts people from using the currency because of it in my opinion. Thoughts?

Well the price has been pretty stable for quite a while now (averaging $600 per bitcoin). I first bought some at the $300-400 price level. As soon as it hit close to $1200 a sold them but kept about $200 worth in bitcoin.

However, it's the technology behind it (still in its infancy) that will and has helped it grow. It's not the price. I'm closely watching it to see how it develops in the next few years because it does have quite a bit of potential.

As for the other cryptocurrencies, nothing to take seriously. I mined a few different ones. Sold the ones that were worth something. The others just completely failed.

Conclusion: If you wanted to make money from bitcoin as an INVESTMENT, that opportunity is long gone.

I have to disagree with this, sure most of us missed out when the coin was just a few dollars each, but in a few years it could be worth $10,000+ each.

It is true that BTC mining has become less profitable but trading is still profitable. I don't think BTC will worth $10,000+ . Because its price is not stable and it keep moving like up and down, up and down.

Can I start now to earn Bitcoins now using bitcoin miners? Isn`t too late to begin?

It will never take off most people are brainwashed obedients sheep hwo listen to their owner sheep herders and the herders like printing fieat money and don't like bitcoin so the sheep will obey. So if they sheep are told not to like bitcoin guess what the sheep will do?

Bitcoin is like a single stock. Other currencies have powerful institutions backing it up, the bitcoin has nothing. If the Euro crashes, the entire world will scramble to bring it back up. When the Bitcoin crashes, who backs it up?

But the Bitcoin is like no other currency. It is backed by the people and the people alone. We saw that when it crashed from $1200 and lost 50% of its value. The Bitcoin is making history right now.

There are two sides to the argument.

It really depends on if bitcoin providers will beef up their security and stop getting their bitcoins stolen because that's how the value keeps dropping and raising. I'm a little nervous in sinking a lot of money into investing in the idea of the bitcoin, not really sure yet.

If you guys want to make bitcoin, you don't actually have to earn in bitcoin... just do the most profitable thing for your time, and if you want bitcoins, then buy some.

Bitcoin is very interesting. Especially the people who farm them. Its funny i would be very scared to invest in it.
