social networks used to be my thing...
not sure if this is the spot as it's related to facebook, but still a good way to think about things...
I used to belong to I think it was mycrib.net, was small social, quickly got a lot of friends, like a few thousand in a small network was pretty decent, I was just testing out techniques...
Anyways, there are cerain W4W codes, if you find the right friends, they post a bulliten with a code that allows other people to put their name on and repost. You whore them out to your list, and others that read it do the same, and then they whore yours out.
But the trick was to create a whore for whore list. Rather than post JUST your "add me" button, you would post 10 "add me buttons" for 10 people that you would need to find. You would colaborate with other people and give them the code and let them know that if they post it, you will too. Soon you have 10times the amount of people whoring out your account... That way when you're offline, they're posting a "whore me" "group".
And if you have a few of your accounts in that list, and several of those lists going at once, it's like viral squared.
Also, doesn't work well in every social network, but you can find a page with a lot of "add buttons" and right click and open in new tab. That way you have 10 loading while you open 10 more and so on. Then you go accepting every tab and hit CTRL+Tab to switch tabs. Or on a social network with a lot of stuff to load like myspace, if you disable several things so that it doesn't take up time to load every song, layout, video, etc, you right click and open all profiles, rightclick "add" button and keep tabbing, and accept, it's faster.
Focus on adding people with a LOT of friends as they have a greater influence.
