How do I make Ebooks?

Ok it seems that selling ebooks on DP and Warrior Forum is a very profitable way to make money, what tools can be used to make Ebooks?

does it have to be Open Office? Hasn't Microsoft Office have the same function?

If you have Microsoft Office, just create your document in Microsoft Word, and when youre saving, save it once as a .doc or .docx just in case something happens, then save it as a PDF. Upload to RapidShare or MediaFire and you're good to go! Free and easy.

Thanks for making me feel good, man I was actually in the middle of writing my own ebook using Microsoft Word and I'm planning on distributing it for free on BHW and nowhere else for the first month or so at least. Look for it later on!

I'll certainly will, anyway, I just been reading this forum a lot and I came across one method of yours, Multi-Stream Ewhore, and it seems really really good, I'm giving that method a try for sure.

For someone who is on this forum at only 2 months, you have almost 700 post already, that is mind boggling, it sure proves that you are really invested in this line of work.

Just another option for you, you can install a full version of acrobat. Then it installs something that lets you print from any app to a pdf. I think it is acrobat distiller that is installed that enables this. Then when you print "any" document, in your printer drop down selection box you will have an added selection for "adobe pdf" to choose instead of your printer. So when printing you just choose adobe pdf & save your doc. You can convert anything like note pad or webpages to pdf, anything that prints.

Then its good to have the full version of acrobat instead of just the reader so you can go in and edit the pdf file should the need arise.

I'm currently writing a script that requires a password to download ebooks. The password can only be used ONCE by one member. Therefore it can't be shared to a bunch of people.

I've got Word 2003 and Acrobat Pro 9, and I ended up using OpenOffice to make PDFs, on the suggestion of a few BHW members.. works great!

For selling/distributing ebooks, you can sell them yourself using a paypal cart, with a standalone sales link from nocart.com, put it on ejunkie.com, etc

Simple Smart Steps:
(1) Write your article in Microsoft Word and save as doc file.
(2) Change it to pdf file.
(3) Create 3D ebook cover.
(4) Create a banner.
(5) Create a minisite using nvu ( opensourse software to make a website )
(6) Buy a domain name and webhosting.
(7) Upload to webhosting using any ftp.
(8) Promote it at forum dp, warrior forum or at clickbank.

hi there are free pdf printer apps out there so u dont have to work with the shitty bogging Adobe.

If u wanna make 3D cover, use Box Shot 3D, easy and simple.
