Little update:
One of my keyword is ranking at the 48 place and is going down slowly with out a single backlink, the KW has 1900 US monthly searches. I will wait to see how low it can go and then start with a few web 2.0, probably only use naked url.

This week I was extremely busy with stuff that are not related with IM, I did manage to get on BHW and read occasionally but that it.
But surprisingly I have manage to find a GEM this week. In my gym there are lot of people with lots of professions that I have good relationship with, some of them are good friends of mine.
One of them is a writer for one of few bigger newspapers in my country, so I asked him did he knows anybody for me ( I have explained him what i need and how low is my budget ) and I didn't expected he will find someone, it was a long shot.
So after a few days I got a call from him saying that he has someone for me that is recently laid-off and he is also a news writer. So we set up a meeting and did have a lets call it an "interview", the guy was was not familiar with seo, but everything else seemed good.
So today I manage to send him a few keywords and to see If he is any good, and in my surprise the guy was the MAN. The article was perfect journal site, it is better then $2-$3 per100 words articles that are here at BHW.
But the problem is he used the keyword as inspiration for article but didn't use the exact keyword in the title and the article. So I did give him some pointers and explained why and how its important to use the keywords and I need to wait untill tomorow for the other sample.
The best par is he will write me 6 articles weekly for $100 monthly, and the article hi did send was 1.3k long so the articles will be longer then 700+ words, which is awesome!

I tend to agree with the above quote. Quality content is going to be what drives this project long-term; I suppose in the short-term you could build links and skimp on content and see some result; however, in the end, creating content that people will actually use and find valuable is paramount.

Yep they sure do ask for investments. I didin't know you have 3 authority sites, if you have a journey thread I whuld like to read it, I know I can learn lot from you!

Anoter lurker here. Awesome luck with that news writer! That should do wonders for your site... I hope he'll be on board for a long time
Thanks man I hope so to! Today I received one article of 700 words and its perfect. But he need to work on his seo skills like kw density, but that are stuff that he will learn in a short time eventually the important thing is he real quality of the article, everything else will come.

It is my second post on BH since I've entered just yesterday, but it seems I did it in the right moment. I've stumbled upon your thread while playing with the idea to finally forget about the fast money schemes and focus on the concept of authority sites. I will follow and read every single line in your thread and will work in the same time to secure a small budget to invest in HQ articles and eventually some SEO. So far I have a nice domain aging online and a concept. But being a newbie will cost me some months of research and experiments. Thanks to the experienced guys around here, one can make a real jump from time to time - I find some of the advices here priceless. I was about to ask you, as I'm still very green on keyword research, if you could be so kind to suggest a keyword about my niche - crowdfunding.
