Maybe it takes some time for the widget? or it must be that you are using a custom blogger template and by some chance, additional widgets have been disabled or there is no allocated space for them.
In any case, if you are in a hurry to embed your adsense ads, you can simply copy paste the ad codes underneath your blog posts in the editor and the ads will start to show. You could do that same things by goin into the source code (via Template?) and embedding your ad code there.

hm weird it should show normally on your blog.
ok this is long shot but perhaps you forget to do it
go to blogger/blog/layout/add gadget/ adsense or html code/ fill the html code/ click ok, do save changed, and check

when i visit my blogspot i can't see any ads...when i go to layout and click edit on adsense i see ads

This guy is right, new Ad's take time to show up/be approved or whatever it is Adsense does.
Once they go from "NEW" to "Active" they will start to show

You just need to wait. Your adsense account is still not totally verified. When that red bar in adsense disappears, your ads will begin to show within hours.
Adsense has 2 step verification. You have passed the 1st step. Now wait and hope.

But with youtube it's going fine i can see ads on my videos
