Bypassing Office Firewall

Hello everyone

I need some help with my office Sonic firewall that blocks utorrent from downloading torrents so the utorrent is stuck at "finding peers". I've read and tried everything I could off the internet to make it work but no joy.
Things Ive tried:
1) modifying advance settings in utorrents to "true" "false" of settings as per some blog on internet.....NO HELP
2) tried using Tor browser but I could only access torrent sites with it that I can't do with regular browser but Utorrent doesnt work with tor proxy
3) Tried a couple of free proxies out there but none of them work

Pls let me know if there is a real way to make it work that is free

Try booting from safe mode and see if its protected. You can also try using using private proxy. Public ones are pretty much usseless.

Exactly. You're supposed to work. That's why it's called "work". Also, I seriously doubt that it would be your local firewall blocking you. It's likely an office-wide firewall that protects the entire network, so you can adjust whatever settings you like on your PC, but you won't get past it anyway.

There's not much you can do. I own and installed sonicwalls for several doctor offices, and it strictly prohibits downloading from unknown sources, as well as all EXE files.. and that's the point!

Your companies IT department, or vendor would have manually to disable it, to allow downloads. And they damn sure won't for someone to download an illegal torrent and potentially infect their entire system.

Besides, I agree above.. download torrents on your own time and resources.

I'am looking to download some tutorial files to enhance my knowledge so pls do not judge what it is for. But asking this to and IT person in my office and explaining all this makes no sense as this doesn't seem very noble task and they certainly will not make it a very important issue and ask for exception from their IT head for this.

You are a CLOWN, SonicWALL is designed to stop you from doing what you are trying to do.
It isn't a standard Firewall, it will also be logging all your attempts to defeat it. Your IT department will be onto you soon.
I really hope you get caught and get sacked, then you might realise that you are employed for a reason and not to download donkey porn.

It doesn't matter if I am paid or a volunteer my point is that torrents are not always for bad purpose and there are sites out there that offer torrents for educational purposes and the intention of Inventors of torrents was certainly not evil.
Sometimes companies block torrents because some ppl do use it for their pleasure or for downloading "Donkey porn" just like our respected member W130SN

Hello again IDIOT I am off work right now as I am at home...Office will start in a couple hours....oh wait who am I talking to "the one who sits around all day and calls himself 'self employed' "
Also I think ppl like you sit around and watch every bite download in their torrent client and get excited of their accomplishment. Just a little knowledge for you. PPl like me if in office would use a computer that is not much used and would set a torrent running on it and get back to my work till it's finished withthe download.
