As a person 'of faith', I don't believe any of this is random. I have faith that this was all by design BUT no where in my Bible do I see any mention that we are the ONLY place where life was created.

Well, it says God created Adam and Eve as the crux of his work, no mention of Alien and Predator as a side-project :)

Imho, Aliens (as in "intelligent creatures on human level or above") and Christianity are very incompatible.
If a super-advanced Alien species came to visit us, the claim that humans are the crux of the creation would be shattered. And if humans are not occupying the top of the pyramid, why would God choose to save them by sending his Son here instead over at the alien overlords?
It would be as absurd as saying that God chose to save the lions instead. So, everything untangles.
The corner stone of the whole doctrine is human superiority. Remove that with the presence of Aliens and everything crumbles.

There are hundreds of billions of galaxies (and counting)
Every galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars
Most stars have planets orbiting them (planets, not planet)

There are countless trillions of planets in the universe.

The chances that Earth is the only planet in those trillions on which life developed is so infinitesimally small it is virtually impossible.

I could not have sad it better myself, as an atheist and a man of science and proof i am convinced that there are aliens out there, we are not that special as we make our self out to be and the math just simply tells you there must be other lifeforms out there.

I'm sure there are creatures or whatever outside of our galaxy, but on Earth, nope. We're alone.

a big YES.

There can be 1000s of planets full of life which humankind will never discover probably, the Universe is much more bigger than anyone can ever imagine.

I don't know why aliens we see(the reported ones) have body like us(2 eyes, 2 legs, etc) ?
They can be rectangular, circular, shapeless creatures without eyes, legs, etc.

Why do are they identical to humans.

The average human can only grasp familiar concepts and also thinks he is made of demi-God dust. So, if you want to sell your narrative, you better have the aliens be very like him.

Who would buy a story about super-advanced armchairs ruling the galaxy anyway? :o

You make some pretty good points there, and I tend to agree with you. However, what if aliens were an extremely advanced species, but lacked any type of personality similar to the human race? They could be capable of building spacecraft, and have the greatest intelligence in the world -- but they could simply follow the same work structure as ants. Of course I'm just talking out of my ass here for the sake of discussion, and I don't actually believe what I'm saying, but it's an interesting thought in my opinion. It would explain why God choose to save the human race, even with other species on other galaxies/planets.

For the record, I believe in God, but I'm pretty much undecided about aliens until I see one for myself. (And yes, I realize that sounds completely ironic, but I'll say I've 'experienced' God -- not Aliens)

I would have to disagree with you here. I don't see why an alien revelation would be so shattering to any religion really. It really doesn't say anything about us being the only life form. I guess it's just a matter of what you believe, and the faith you have in that. The reason it's called faith is because you're believing in something that's not tangible, or quantifiable. I can only speak for myself obviously, but the revelation of aliens wouldn't change what I believe in personally. What's to say they don't have their own version of The Bible? We could probably go around in circles about this, but I just don't see the correlation to aliens shattering Christianity the way others do.

Yes, but remember that our bibles were passed from human to human to human after God passed the word to us - and although it would have been easy for 'him' to keep it pure, it is obvious he didn't desire to. (see the MANY versions of the Bible with MANY differences between them). So although I do believe in it's generalities, and certainly have faith in both God, Christ and by and large what's in it, again, it was passed from human to human to human - and therefore, no longer exactly what was passed to us.

Also, our Bible was written for US so of course, we're going to be the center of it... but that doesn't mean that we're the only place he's done this - or even that we're the first. I'm sure you agree that the '7 days' in the Bible are not 24 hour days as we see days - God would not be confined by our narrow definition of a day - he operates on a cosmic level. If those days were actually millions of years, then not only can creationism and evolution co-exist, but there'd be plenty of time for millions of other planets with God's Children on them... and not all of them have to be carbon based. "God's image" can take on many forms.

I realize that many Christians would not agree with my viewpoint but for me, it allows me to balance my science and analytical side along with my Faith.

PS. I just read this to my Wife and she doesn't agree with me completely on this - but that's fine with both of us. We're not clones of each other and aren't going to agree 100% on everything... lol

What if God is an extremely advanced Alien specie? What if they created us just to test 'things'?

Would you still believe in them?

I believe so. The Egyptian hieroglyphics, have a lot of carved images of what looks like "aliens" and "UFOs". This subject is controversional and everyone has their own opinions of course.

Then we have the Palpa Mountains in Peru , that makes your mind wonder even more. It amazes me how an ancient civilization was able to make , what looks like landing strips on top of mountains. Google "Palpa Mountains in Peru", the images speak for themselves.

Call me a nerd... but things like that intrigue me.

Let 's assume that super-advanced Aliens exist and God chose to take human on the kingdom of heaven instead for whatever reason (he is God after all). Possible? Sure (in the "faith" context). But is this narrative as conveniently attractive as the "you are the Children of God, he even sacrificed his Son in torturous death for you"? Not by a long shot.

Well, that would be a stupid thing to have said, since there are so many living species on Earth :) What it does say, is that God created Man as His image. His top-of-the-line creation. So important that he was willing to have his Son sacrificed for them. I assume you don't disagree with that.

I guess it's just a matter of what you believe, and the faith you have in that. The reason it's called faith is because you're believing in something that's not tangible, or quantifiable. That 's totally irrelevant. I was not discussing about other doctrines or what others believe, I was discussing about the Christian doctrine. The Bible versions or various Dogmas don't matter on this subject because they all agree on the basic principle: Man is the supreme creation. If you know of a Christian Bible/Dogma that says otherwise, please let me know.

i believe somewhere in universe ,there is a perfect book contain every truth and lies

What it does say, is that God created Man as His image.

This is where I would've stopped the sentence. You're inferring the rest. That's the part that I disagree with. The rest or what you said follows that, that's why I don't agree. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything about it, I just don't believe that we are the supreme creation of God necessarily.

This is a very un-Christian thing to say. Take any Christian variant. There is none that says "what I preach is more or less correct". Every one claims that IT is the right one and the others are deviations. And the way this is justified is that God via the Holy Spirit gives access to his Wisdom to the dogma 's most faithful.
So, the statement that the Bible/Dogma you (me/anyone) believe in is NOT pure is straight heresy.

Also, our Bible was written for US so of course, we're going to be the center of it...

Why? The Bible mention of Angels and Demons, it 's not that hard to have had a passing mention of our alien overlords. In my previous analogy, a Lion 's Bible not ever mentioning Humans would be rather weird.

but that doesn't mean that we're the only place he's done this - or even that we're the first. You are doing the natural thing of dropping parts of the Dogma that is inconvenient with your life. All of us do it and in my personal opinion, that 's great. But, this is irrelevant to the (whatever) Dogma because it is not a la Cart by definition.
