Most stars have planets orbiting them (planets, not planet)

There are countless trillions of planets in the universe.

The chances that Earth is the only planet in those trillions on which life developed is so infinitesimally small it is virtually impossible.

As a person 'of faith', I don't believe any of this is random. I have faith that this was all by design BUT no where in my Bible do I see any mention that we are the ONLY place where life was created.

As the movie "Contact" said, if we are the only life, it would be an awful waste of space.

Can't thank you enough for pointing this out. I consider myself to have a very strong faith, and it drives me nuts when people try to say that it's an "either, or" type of thing. You nailed it perfectly when you mention that The Bible never explicitly says anything about us being the only life created. In fact, it talks about how God created the entire universe, so what's to say other galaxies weren't created in the same mold. I think it's rather small-minded and a bit arrogant to think that we are this supreme life form that has no equal anywhere in the vast universe we live in.
