Signing up as a US Amazon affiliate from a different country?

I am new to IM and I'm sorry for the noobish question. I would like to sign-up as an Amazon affiliate for US based customers (because of sheer numbers) however, I am located in India. Is it possible to do this? I can sign up as an Amazon India affiliate, however Amazon isn't as popular here yet.
I wonder if there are any Indians here who are Amazon affiliates.

hope you have a website with decent content already cuz the signup process at Amazon is a little rough.

I had to sign up 3 times till they accepted me. (because I didn't have the right website) Also you need to get a sale within 90 days, otherwise they automatically reject your application - but you can reapply as many times as u want.

Thank you! Are there any complexities involved in receiving payments from Amazon's US site in a non-US country? How do they usually deposit earnings?

the payments trouble me a little as I'm from the EU and have to pay for US cheques - they only pay direct debit (US only) or US cheque

Oh! I intend to build a product review site that links to Amazon. Does this mean that I need to create all product reviews beforehand and then sign up as an affiliate?

you need a website with a little content, otherwise Amazon tells you "your website lacks of content". to sign up: the website must exist. to get through the application within 90 days (once made 1 sale) you need a few articles/product reviews.

sign up and create a few product reviews and you should be fine

i m from india too , and amazon is famous , i have bought few products and their delivery time is very fast. you can sign up as an affiliate and earn money.

Hi noobhere, I believe Flipkart is the most popular online store in India. I know that Amazon has just entered the market, however, Flipkart is responsible for most of online sales in India.

I think the best option is to get a flipkart affiliate a/c for India whereas signup the azon for U.S. & E.U.

But do flipkart have an affiliate program.
