following just bought 10 sites so very interested

How will you monetize the site? adsense?

I plan to test out several methods. Since my website will be about a specific product (that cost quite a bit of money), I plan to use Amazon. I also intend to use Adsense. I applied yesterday, so I'll have to wait and see if I get approved. However, I'm a little unsure with Adsense, especially after reading some reviews, but we will just wait and see!

Good luck with your Journey, will be checking back for updates.

Quick question! My website is nearly finished, and I have been wondering what is the best way to go about creating backlinks to my website. Below is kind of an idea of what kind of backlinks I want to create. I'm only going to try and make about 100 at first. I want the backlinks to look as natural as possible. Any tips from anyone out here would help!

I contacted the MNS service you used, I am interested because they are pretty cheap, I'm just concerned about the design of the site, when you get your site, could you tell me what kind of template they used, if the site looks good, etc or better yet just show me it :) would be awesome to get me to decide if i want to go with them or not

They will e-mail you later on in website development giving you a choice of which theme template you want. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a link to my website.

Seems like you're off to a good start. Good luck with your Journey!

Day 1

Today was officially the first day my website has been up and running. Everything seems to be working fine. I am not yet indexed by the major search engines, but that should soon change. I submitted my website to some free directories and all major search engines, so it should soon start being crawled. Obviously, I haven't had any organic traffic, but I have had a few hits, not really sure where they came from. I already have 2 more articles in development, and a backlinking service ordered. So I imagine I will see some traffic in the next few days.

As far as Ads on my website, I have my Amazon Affiliate products up. I also have a Google Adsense Ad up, but I have yet to be approved. So all I see is a yellow box. I guess that's suppose to be there. If not, someone of you guys let me know
:p haha! I'm expecting to see big things in the future from this website. Thanks for all the support you guys have been giving me, and I am looking forward to where this journey leads me!

As a little motivation for anyone reading this out there, I leave you with this!

Quick Update

It appears that Adsense has been approved, or at least the first part has been approved, since I have begun to see their Ads appear on my website. My new articles have been completed, and I plan on adding them to the website later today. I have gotten a couple of clicks on my Amazon Affiliate ads, but still no sales. Still haven't received any organic traffic, but I don't believe my website has been indexed yet. I think most of the views to my website have been from crawlers. Hoping to get indexed soon. Expect another update later today. Thanks again for all the support!

So where is that traffic coming from? You should easily see the source.

Next to that I wouldn't recommend Adsense on a niche where the product is, as you say, of high value. You will see much greater results with Amazon. In one of Nick Flames' threads he mentions that having a CPM of $100+ is very common. Now that's a number you won't find in Adsense unless you are doing niches like Health etc.

My 2 cents is, focus on Amazon.

I'm still curious where that random traffic is coming from, they are even clicking your Amazon ads!

Hello! Thanks for your input. Looking at Google Analytics, I can't really see where the source is coming from. I imagine some of the visits are coming from me, but 67.6 percent of the visitors are new. I believe some of these visitors are bots crawling my website. But if you know way to see where these visitors are coming from, I would really like to know.

The only reason I have Adsense on my website right now is to test which method works best for creating a passive income. I also had the Ad on my website, so that I could be approved for future use. But I here what your saying about focusing on Amazon. If that brings in results, I do intend to focus on it. Thanks for all your input though. I really appreciate it!

Day 2

It appears my website has been indexed on Google. All Ads appear to be up and running. I added another article to the website earlier today. My next step is to begin some off-page SEO to get my website to rank #1 for its keyword. I have a couple of backlinking services purchased, and are currently being processed. At this point in my journey, I have still not received any income from my website. Although I plan for that to change soon. Thanks for all the support, and be on the lookout for another update soon!

goodluck op i'll be following for sure.. Don't worry about getting nothing on day 2 im sure thats quite normal.. I'm gonna look into purchasing a MNS now,or just create my own if i can find the secret formula for them.. was under the impression that they didn't work anymore though ..

Thanks for the support man! And trust me, micro niche websites aren't dead. There is no secret formula. At this point in my journey, I've realized that the key to a successful micro niche website is quality content and a little hard work.

Day 3

I know this is a little early for a Day 3 post, but I have some big news. Well, it's pretty big to me :p! But before we get to that, let me tell you everything that has happened today. I woke up this morning to see my website had received some more traffic, but still no organic traffic. A little bit of the traffic is coming from me, but its unclear where the rest of the traffic is coming from. As of now, my website is up to 5 articles, however I plan to keep my website updated with fresh content, as that seems to be one of the keys to success when creating a website. So I have already ordered another article. I plan to add new articles every week or two. On to other news, one of my backlinking services was delivered today. However, it is being delivered in drip feed, so the backlinks look more natural to Google. It will take about 30 days for all the links to be created. I should also note these are tier 1 links. So I am pretty excited about that. But now on to the big news, I have received my first bit of income today from my website. I received two clicks on Adsense, resulting in an income of $2.09! It's hard to describe the feeling of seeing some of your work pay off. I'm hoping to start receiving some organic traffic soon, and I am also looking forward to that first sale on Amazon. Overall, it has been a successful day. I plan to do some work on my websites template tommrow. I'll post my cost and profit info below for any interested in that. Thanks again for all the support, and I am looking forward to seeing where this journey goes!

Investment- $68.58
(My backlinking packages and 1 of my articles were completely free, a guy owed my a favor )

Total Income- $2.09

I'll end with this, as a little encouragement for anyone out there!

Definitely following! Are you using a combination of text/display ads or one over the other? What is your ad placement like?Good luck! =)
