I like the sound of the top comment: Ha, what a disaster G+ has to be for Google. They must kind of be looking at it like "ew what do we do with this thing now?"

The truth is I don't need a doggy tag on me while walking on the streets, and you shouldn't get a doggy tag with your real name while browsing online.

I think they have enough data to determinate who are the spammers or trolls playing aroung with fake names.

You just have to look at your profile pic to see that's the truth.

Ontopic this is good news for the ppl using g+ I guess.
Never really been a fan with people knowing my real name on the internet but then again privacy is non existant.

We shouldn't assume privacy is non existant. That's the exact mindset which has been giving these corporations the power to invade privacy in the first place.

Me too. But they were sometimes forgiving of fake names if you weren't abusing the system, just because Plus never became really popular. If they ever reached Facebook status they'd enforce real names with an axe.

Well, it had the momentum, but it was almost born dead. The invite only procedure at the beginning (which worked well for gmail, but sucked for G+), the uninteresting celebrities and mostly photographers, the difficulty to use it drove many people away. Today most of the communities are like a ghost town, where nobody posts. It had the potential, but they missed it. G+ sucks now.

Nail on the head mate. Social networks appear to have totally dissolved the importance of privacy. Hense why I deleted facebook 2 years ago and havent looked back since!
