wow, i just tried this, i didnt get 500 emails in 30 minutes, but i stil got like 20!

Old method. I've done this with other products. Works well if you know how to post tons of ads on CL and do not get ghosted.

Approximately what percentage of the people you send the response email to actually convert to leads? I have replied to roughly 600 so far resulting in only 4 leads, which seems very low. Using essentially same method (free product offered, wait 24 hours to get a solid number of emails, respond product has been picked up-but found a website where they can get a free one (I hyperlink "this website" vs listing the whole cpa url to try to increase response).
As this is my first attempt at email marketing, what would be the best way to monetize this list (ie, send them other free offers every other day)? Do I have to go with a server and a hosted autoresponder at this stage (small list-less than 1000 at this point--would rather not incur additional expense until I can figure out how to get a more substantial return). Any guidance from you veterans on how to properly scale this up would be greatly appreciated.

Did you tell them you are getting rid of the old ones because you got a new set from your offer?
or maybe you used the same idea as the OP, time to think outside the box a little. Not much, just enough.

You Guys Listen! for those of you saying " i sent out 600 emails and made no money" you need to really think outside the box to get this to convert for u. There are not a lot of networks with washer email submit offers, so you need to come up with an item a lot of people would like to get for free. Example: Microwave, Exercise equipment, think of things people need, then find a free trial offer to send them in your reply email. Make sure the offer related to the item listed on craigslist. Whatever you do no not make the reply spammy! say something like "you just missed it, some guy just came buy and picked it up... but i work at such & such and we're giving away free trials of : "affiliate product here" if that sounds good to to u go here: http://www.affiliate-link-here.bhw, Again sorry about the whatever!
