What's wrong with my whitehat blogging?

Well, finding is the easiest thing - by footprints, blogsearch, etc... I'll try just to find out how real is that because so far I'm sceptical about that. If a webmaster asks me to put a link - I feel that his next step will be blasting my page with tier 2, LOL. That's 1 of the reasons I ignore their requests..

That is why I am saying change your mindset. Because the person you ask probably will not be someone who has built that blog for making money. I hope you get what I mean. And for finding those blogs, you think like those spammers. Finding them is not the easiest thing unfortunately.

- GSA may work but, please don't call it white hat. Once you build your own links, its blackhat.

Ok Edge, 1st of all thanks for all that. In order to have an comprehensive measurements - do you consider that a fine article on web2.0 such as Hun, Squido, etc... is a good link that will work? Blogger, wordpress.com, other web2.0? Or will it be waste of time because anyone can place such link?

It gives authority backlinks of course.

Yes anyone can create such links..but if you believe in good quality contents and quality links then web 2.0s are worth it.

Hi. And by this you mean content for money blog, right? Or for backlinks?

I have been working on a SEO plan to help my companies website out. We started off by testing out a site we built (with little importance to us) before trying our main site. The site had about 90 links on it. Prior to link building it was live for about 6 months and received almost no hits. We started linking building via a SEO software doing about 20 links a week and we have seen pretty good success. I assume out of those 20 maybe 10 are getting accepted with a little delay.

If I was going to get penalized, how long do you guys think it will take. We are also posting the links via our social blog and trying to make it as natural as possible. We tried complete Whitehat, it doesn't work.. There has to be some link building tactics from what I can see.

Matthew Woodward's link building tutorial is out of date, if you are reading all the comments you'll see he said that. I think that was ur main mistake.

IMHO, It is clear that if we would like to build a long term revenue income, these factors should be taken care of:

- quality
- stability
- randomization
- backlinking (as explained before - with some social media mix)
