My Dilemma

Lol I dunno about you dude, reading some of your posts it seems like you want some sympathy. Full time IM isn't easy, it isn't going to be working 2 hours a day & bring home a few K a month; some of us work 12 hours a day at IM, with a wife/girlfriend & kids to deal with throughout the day coupled with back pains, leg pains & sometimes ass pains

There's some hope though, I dived into IM a few years back starting with clickbank & made two sales overnight as a total newb so I hope you can see some early results because it will drive you to succeed.

I've already been hired on a freelancing site to translate articles from Spanish to English, the guy will pay me $5 for each article, and he says he needs as many as I can deliver.

I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm just searching for the right path do to money with IM.

I've already have 4 articles ready in just an hour doing this.

If I work 6 hours a day with the articles I'll make $120 a day, meanwhile I'm doing some research on how to drive traffic to my site, any tips?

I know your situation is and truthfully my situation is similar with yours minus the financial situation (currently I do not have any big financial problem). I would not quit my business just yet to pursue IM UNTIL I am able to earn at least DOUBLE what I earn in my business (yes, you heard it right, I have my own small business). This is because (or so from what I heard) the earnings to be earned online is quite unstable. Some methods might work because of some loophole BUT when the loophole is closed, gone is your income.

I really do hope that you have the determination to make it though. I hate to see someone who quit his job to pursue IM and applied to his/her boss for a job because he/she gave up on IM. I do not have a definite statistics on this, but if I knew that you wanted to quit your job to pursue IM, I would definitely advised you against quitting your job because IM is not as easy as you would like to think.

That it isn't easy I already figured out, but I have a strong will and I'm usually very good when I make something.

You need to have 4-5 methods to make money online, the article writing is a good move to start off as I said earlier on, at the same time get involved in other stuffs as well. Starting off IM full time isn't as easy as people look at it. It will involve more time and effort to start off compared to your offline work.

I'm aware of it, but certainly, in their own complexity and work required, there are some methods easier than others, what IM methods, excluding freelancing, would you say that have a high success ration and are considerable more easy to start with, for someone who is just now getting into this business?

Glad you know what to do, keep the faith and never say no when u fail. Talk to your wife and let her know your plans and all. It's hard to work on something when the person you love so much is unaware and feel unsecured about it. I went through this with my fiancee before and now she understands it well and always gave me a lot of support and encouragement when I feel down.

And i would like to advice you to DO what you had learnt. Dont ever open a good thread and close it after reading. Try not to close so that you will remind yourself about what you gonna do. And of course dun open tons of thread and read but no action had been taken. TAKE ACTION is the very 1st step to success.
Somehow, i love BHW so much. Honestly BHW is the 1st forum that i ever do my post.XD
I am still learning from here. Hope myself can success in IM before i get screw by SG expenses. (going to study there this JULY...need to pay my own bill!!!!!!)

As with everything else in life there is a "learning curve". I believe it may be a little unrealistic to expect a steady income from IM in three months, much less expect an income of $1000/mo.

Sure you can earn $1000/mo and more in IM. However, the dynamics of the Internet being what they are you have to get used to the idea of going through "feast and famine". Some months you could make a lot and other months you won't make anything.

I would highly recommend that you find a mentor. Find a professional that you trust in an area that you're interested in and volunteer to do some outsourcing for them in exchange for their teaching you "the ropes".

Professionals are always looking for someone to help them out. And, they're always being inundated by people who want FREE advice. If you would offer to do something in exchange for the information you could learn a lot quickly.

EX: I run a holistic health website. Members pay $99/mo to access the information on the site. Their membership also includes 1on1 coaching. Some of the coaches are holistic health practitioners, others are certified personal trainers, others are health coaches. The problem these professionals have is getting some experience under their belts and learning how to run their own business.

I provide this training and experience to them in exchange for them providing coaching services to my members. (I also pay them) Most of them are ready to go out on their own in as little as six months. It's a "win-win" situation for everyone involved.

I get professionals to work for me for almost nothing. The professionals get the experience and education they need to start their own consulting practice. And, the members get professional coaching.

I do the same type of thing with affiliates. Someone brand new and wants to learn. I do charge them a small fee to help separate the serious from the curious. But they get to see how to build a business and what works.


This is what you want to look for. If you have an interest in article marketing, CPA, PPC or whatever, then find someone who is the "expert" in it and see what you can do for them in exchange for learning the ropes. It's a fair exchange and shortens the "learning curve" for you and gives you a better opportunity to be profitable.

Realistically if you don't believe you have the time or can't make the time then there's really no point. IM isn't something you can quit your job and then try to learn and expect to make a profit. It's something you have to first learn, make a profit and then quit your job.

go work for a restaurant or cafe, ive been to spain and there's tons of them. get a morning shift at a cafe or WORK AS ANYTHING.
its not that hard to find a regular 8 hour job. then do IM in your spare time.

you have a bad job that you hate and you are getting underpaid.
screw it.
get a nice stable income. then gof or the IM

agreed. get some kind of easier part time job or something. so that way you can have some $$ coming in but also more time on your hands................or have the wife go and get a job (assuming she doesn't work) and you play mr. mom for a while until you get some im income.

wow you tooked a high risk. When you need fast cash go to eWhoring section on this forum and learn it, it's not funny job, but you easily make 20-100/ hour after you learn it.

And, if you read his later posts he took a HUGE risk and quit that job and is now a "full-time Internet Marketer".

My suggestion for the OP is some form of article marketing. I was able to make money online with no investment at all by writing articles on hot niches and submitting them to article directories. I then directed the traffic they generated to my page which I had on a free host and sold Clickbank products to them there.

IM will not bring you immediate success for you. It very time consuming.. Eg. Autoblog..You need to spend your time to build tons of blog before you can earn steady profit from G.
You will need to face the first failure for your IM before you could success in it.
What to say. No one is going to success in IM before he had failed in his IM.
Just learn and dun give up. Patience is the key.

well reading this thread makes me feel so sad cause i have been there well actually been almost 4 years ago i hated my job with a passion it was so horrible thats all i can say right now just thinking about going there made my stomach hurt .... they was always complaining about this and that well never mind just to put it short i hated the job

but with me i had something in place to take over my income that i found online though i was nervous to just quit and not have no way to make money i didnt want to do that so everytime i got home i would get on the computer and read like the whole night want sleep or nothing ... well not to make a novel but here it is 4 years later and i have never ever regretted my decision im happy that i dont work that stupid job yes there has been ups and downs in 4 years with freelance work and companies i worked for online shuting down and all kind of crap but it was better then having to stay at that miserable job a second longer well thats my 2 cents i dont no who will agree or who care but cheers

im saying he should pick up a new one.
he quit, now he has no source of income and is living on his savings.
please please pease do the smart thing and get a job so you can support your family. it wont be hard to find an equally paying job that only keeps you busy for 8 hours a day.
if you work at a bar you can clear 1000 on a good weekend just from tips.

get a regular security job, and do IM at work on the computer. do whatever you want.

but if you are going to chase the dream, risks are involved, does not mean you have to be wreckless.

I did the same thing you are doing now, a few months ago. I had a few hard times, but things are looking up now. It is very exhilarating to quit your job and dive head first into something unknown.

That's the thing that I simple cannot comprehend, why would anyone that makes more than $1000 a day on IM be willing to lose 80% of their weekly time working in a job? Specially considering that this people earn more in one day in the internet than they do in a entire month working for somebody else, and also that all that lost time spend going back and forward into work, the 8h of work and so on could be invested in IM and maximize the earnings by 50% or more, this just doesn't seem rational to me.

besides, I'm already getting paid here on the internet, the guy that hired me for translation services just sent me my first $90 to my paypal, and this is only concerning one days work

you can easily make 1k a week if you bid enough. and use your extra time to work on real IM
