Trying to rank for local business

I am trying to rank for local business which means I need to rank my site on Google search engine based on my location. I have been using keywords + country and local domain name as well. Any other tips besides this?

ranking for a country is not local. You need to narrow down to a town or city, make google+ page, google my business etc. plaster consistent contact details everywhere - contact page on website and good directories. Local listings are not as link dependent as normal websites

Okay, Im trying with a .com domain now but I need it to rank in my country. The keyword for example is weight loss products. Should I add 'weight loss products in country' or just 'weight loss products' but put country name in title and description?

When trying to rank for a local rankings you must first purchase a country specific domain, ph for philippines, in for india, ca for canada

For the keywords it doesnt matter at all cause google will automatically know that you are targeting local KW based on your extension and also whatever keywords you put in the article you must satisfy your readers with it, So what I can suggest is write normally, like talk to your clients and not google, then they will find you automatically when traffic is flowing to your site
