Autopost to Facebook Groups Owned by Others

Hey All,

Is there any wordpress plugin that will let you auto-post to facebook groups or pages that you don't own?

I think this was possible before, but heard that now FB disallows it. Which sucks because why would I want to post to my own group and have to accumulate followers when I can just post to one that already has 1000's.

Anyone know a way around this?

I do not know about any plugin But manual method is to
1. Find the email address of the groups
2. compose new email and put the email list in bcc
3. post your message with links and pics etc in the email body
4. send

You must use the email which is associated to the same fb account which is the member of those groups.

OK well apparently it does work even if you aren't an admin for the page...? I am using SNAP auto-poster and found this in their documentaion:

[Update - May 2014] Facebook changed some rules regarding the apps. This means that the Facebook App, Facebook profile or page and the user who authorizes the app MUST belong to the same Facebook account.

So I set it up anyway thinking it probably wouldn't work because the page doesn't belong to me, but lo and behold, the plugin has just spammed it with a bunch of posts.

That stopped working with photos a long time ago though, didn't it?

Going for an automating tool like ubot and zenno can also get the job done

The email posting doesn't work when posting images. This topic was discussed in this section sometime in june (i can't seem to be subscribed to it, so don't have the url), look for the thread and you'll find some neat answers there.

Does Hootsuite not allow scheduled group posts? I know it used to allow you to post multiple times in groups. Not a plugin though.
