Twitter - Seeing who doesn't follow you back.

Hey
I'm nearing the 2k limit with about ~250 followers. In a few days I want to clear out those who aren't following me back so I can follow more different people... to try and hit 2000 followers.

How do I see who I'm following, but isn't following me? Best way to sort it out?

I'll be doing this manual, I might make my own automation of it later on.. but I like knowing how it all works before having a program do it for me

If you can't send them a DM they are not following you. Just go througe your list and remove people with out a DM button

Use twitter karma, forgot the url but go search in google for twitter karma
You can view those who don't follow you and unfollow in bulk!

Will have a look at this, thanks. Would make it a lot faster..
Plan on making my own programs (If I can) to do this for me in the future.. I guess this'll be good until I learn how

I use flashtweet to check this by way of the "Following Only" filter. Have you read this?:

FlashTweet and TweetLater in combination gives good results.

I just started with flashtweet and will try tweetlater and twitter karma. With just flashtweet I got over 30 followers inside 15 minutes for a brand new account that only had two tweets.

I think FriendOrFollow dot come does this as well.

The best tool for unfollowing is Hummingbird. The software keeps a log of who you've unfollowed so that you don't follow them again in the future. This helps preven you from refollowing the hords of empty accounts that newbies have setup and then let rot because they can't figure out that they need to start following people to make the whole Twitter thing interesting.

Dead weight. They are dead weight and you don't want to follow them twice. And with Hummingbird you don't have to. Check it out at FollowFactory dot com.

friendorfollow is my favourite, partly as you don't have to log-in. nice interface.

link there. interface is fantastic, flash based, smooth, fast and very easy to sort followers/friends in several different ways.

Flashtweet has some good features but takes ages to log in (once you reach high amount of friends, and beware, the list of all the people it says are not following you is not completely accurate!

I know TK has 100 max API requests an hour limit, not sure about FT.
