Google "waiting period" after May 14 payday update?

I removed the link this evening, so I'll be back Sunday evening to report.

1) The content is all manually spun so that the output is readable, not that anyone except SE bots is ever going to read it, but grammatically it is like a third world writer has written it, good enough.

2) all my silo's C&B and long term sites are performing better then the regular sites,, but i only build silo's when i have more then 20 keywords in one niche to promote, i like to make massive sites with spun content, it still works and i'll bet that it will work even with this delay.

3) Both, a keyphrase as chicago plumber could be my main silo, affordable Chicago plumber could be a innerpage in that silo

This post has given me hope that the delay can possibly be bypassed. Thanks!

I have a couple of questions I hope you don't mind answering.
1) How well spun is the content? Are talking about just changing up the City keywords on each relevant service page? Or are you actually spinning a good bit more content on each page?
2) Do you find that the silo structure actually helps the site to rank better? I tried a silo plugin on a couple of expired domains, and was not generally impressed with the results a few months ago. I might need to retest this with a new fresh domain.
3) Are the ranking phrases for example the main keywords like "chicago plumber" or more long tail like "affordable chicago plumber"?

Thanks again, I always appreciate the knowledge you share.

UPDATE: On my 2.5 month old site, I am noticing that rankings are going slowly up, from positions around 30, I am getting +1 position every day. For 15 keywords that I am targeting, every 2 days 1 keyword get big jump from approximately 30-40 position to 10-15.

I am constantly adding Web 2.0s and social signals.

Please share your experiences and results to help others.

From a programmer's point of view, I think viral kewords will be fine because Google can determine them due to the fact that the monthly searches for that particular term will increase by a large margin. When Google finds such a keyword, the keyword will be white-listed from the "waiting period".

Well, I don't know, but I am ranked higher for keyword with 50k monthly searches than for keyword with 6k monthly searches. (This 6k keyword is niche related long tail keyword to root keyword with 50k; i am doing same link building to both keywords and both are on home page.

No problems on my end.. I am in the casino niche, and with as much as white hat as possible, I am currently rankings #30 for a medium competitive keyword in 1 month time. I started at 200 and i went slightly up every day, don't know if this has to do with this discussion.. :P

To further confirm that my site is being penalised, possibly by this delay and that that penalisation is site-wide, 8 pages of my site occupy page 20 for my chosen keyword (10k searches), one after another...it's safe to say that I'm dominating page 20....

I had a brand new site on an aged (high value) domain index today, and debuted at #22. It's powered by a few dozen PBN links, and the keyword has <1k searches per month...

It's looking more and more like the higher the search volume, the longer the delay OR 'the further from page' 1 the delay.

An update on this post. After 24hrs, it jumped from #22 to #4, and is ranking for some other variations in the top 3.

The same niche that will make you 3k-4k right? xD
Also,I think tony_d is correct.
My main kw has 4-5k monthly searches per month and it disappears and comes back to the same position after every 3 days(going like this for like a week).I don't think this is a dance (maybe I am wrong )
On the other hand my longtail keywords with less than 1k monthly searches are at the same spot and never disappears from the serp.I think just a bit of more link building and it should be in page 1-2 as it's on like page 14 now.
Tony, can you please share the pbn provider from where you purchased the link man?

Thanks :)

You dont say what linking method you use.

Ah the guy above says pbn which proves what i said all along that only pbns work now.

If you've read clearly ,he states that he uses pbn links, but just in case a busy man like you missed it here :

But, what do you guys think what actually blocks new domains to reach page 1 faster after May update? Is it something like google takes more time to get trust from every (new) website?

Theoretically, what would happen if I buy 10 PR2+, PA/DA 30+ trusted domains and 301 redirect them all directly to money site? That would pass link juice and authority to new site, so by some logic it should speed up process much more, right?

I would rather redirect 9 out of the 10 domains you purchased to the remaining one rather then a brand new site, ofc only if you managed to get a niche-related domain :)
That's what I think is better.
Also I heard that 301 domains to a brand new site, hurt ranking nowadays, maybe I'm wrong but still...

Of course, using strictly niche related sites for 301 redirects :)

I don't know, maybe 10 301s would hurt, but as you said, 9 domains pointing to 1 domain, and then that 1 domain pointing to money site would not hurt, what do you think?

Should we consider 3 month old site as a new site?

I think you didn't understand what I said.I was saying that if you can afford such domains, why not build your site on a powerful domains and then for extra boost redirect the remaining 9 domains to the 10th one which will be your money site.
Edit: Just saw that you already have a 3 month site(you must've mentioned it before or I maybe mistaken.
So if your domain is already 3 months old with good diversified link profile ,you're good to go with these 10 domains, although don't just blast out all the 10 domains at once.
I'm not really a expert at 301 redirecting so I don't know much.People like tony would be able to tell you :)

DAMN, You outed it to Everyone :D. I can confirm this really works, but it's not easy as fc-dh is trying to make it

Everyone just target low comp keywords for a while. I don't think Google cares much for low CPC, low comp 5,000 month SV or less keywords. Google did some more screwy shit obviously. I don't see much high comp keywords high search Volume moving around in the SERPs right now much, especially page 1. Everyone looks kind of frozen ATM with a few hops here and there. Something is going on.

With that in mind it also further crushes the chances of SEOs railroading ppl even more into adwords.

Google ban methods and regulate sites too much on adwords for anyone to make a profit. No one is spending $1 per click to convert on a crap LP (and not make profits) because Google doesn't allow anything better.

You're also likely to get banned on Google Adwords for everything and anything and a lot of people already are - I doubt anyone is going there anytime soon.

Yeah, it's a reasonably well paying site.
I don't buy PBN links - I have my own PBN's. It's the only way forward...
