Don't waste your time on Facebook

Want to know how much all your business page's likes are worth right now on Facebook? About as much as the shit you wiped off your ass this morning.

With Facebook heavily pushing page owners to "boost" their posts as sponsored posts, combined with a new platform where small business owners and marketers pay $1500/month to reach THEIR fans that they took the time and effort to build up, Facebook is officially a waste of time. I have 6 pages totaling over 1.2 million likes, 95% of which were gained organically the old fashioned way, and the highest "reach" I've had in the last week is 8,872. That's right, less than 1%.

Until a few months ago I was reaching over 30% of my fans on average. Now Facebook is filtering you posts' reach so you don't get shit unless you pay for it. I could go on and on about how much I hate Facebook right now, but the moral of the story is, unless you want to pay for it, trying to get any exposure on Facebook these days is pointless. Unless they want to put a stop to this ridiculous nazi regime, they can kiss my white ass. Aside from buying enough likes for my FB page so my business looks legit, all of my future efforts are going elsewhere. Fuck you Facebook.

This is a thoughtless answer bro and really shows your lack of business sense. A proper business creates a balance between profit and customer satisfaction so that they can continue to make that profit. They were making money with ads and several other outlets already, but because they feel like they're king of the world, they've gone way overboard.

No other social media site spits in the face of their users like Facebook currently is. In my opinion, this is the perfect opportunity for other social media sites to steal the attention of small business owners and marketers. Facebook's new tactics are a joke, and if you agree with them then so are you.

Seems like the same on all platforms, at least same as ebay, as it was great platform for both sellers and buyers, and now for buyers only.
It is harder and harder to make profit? yes! Is it completely impossible? No.
So might be profitable for few and non profitable for many others, same as everything in life.

First of all, it's "ads" not "adds", unless you were implying that you were performing some type of advanced mathematical equation the rest of us wouldn't understand.

Second, a person/company who's making 100k and is also able to inject 50k on a monthly basis to continue making that 100k is a big advertiser. If you were to take the mental effort required to read everything I said and not just the parts you didn't like, you would have saw me clearly referring to small businesses and marketers. Big businesses have the budget to be everywhere for the sake of brand exposure, regardless of the overall profit margins and expenses, which is why I was not including them in my presentation of the facts.

My distaste for FB's new strategies are because they're pushing away small to medium sized advertisers so they can get the maximum amount from big advertisers who will pay almost any amount just so they can be there. Their current joke of a business plan to milk advertisers for everything they're worth is leaving an opening for other social media sites to make small business and marketers stop caring about Facebook, which is bad for business in a big way. But thanks for opening my eyes to your wisdom nonetheless.

It's not "silly" to think that at all. Almost all of my traffic is free. Just because you're not willing to work hard enough to get that free traffic, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. And please refrain from using unnecessarily complex language to compensate for your lack of a solid point to make.

I'm moving on to Twitter, G+ and Pinterest to try my luck there for my social media traffic. Seems to be working out pretty well so far
