whenever i get any cash in the bank, the first things I usually buy is a big bag of ganja .. it makes it easier for me to work even longer hours the following week thus allowing me to earn more in order to buy a bit more ganj + rent, bills, food..
unfortunately i am not yet at the stage where i'm earning enough to reward my self in a big way such as new tv etc.. just that weed is cheap as hell in portugal..
wanna eventually save up and go on the virgin galactic trip to space as the ultimate reward, only $25k i believe..

Yes but at some point in life when you keep hitting your goals without treating yourself you burn out.

Rawards lead to spiraling expectation. At one time the lack of a reward will be worse than fear of punishment. Rewards are just a temporary fix to short term motivation and won't last imho. There are better ways to get motivated than carot and stick.
