I'm not one to usually dive into this whole "my journey" type of thing, but I am starting what will be a
very large and successful authority site and figured my information might help other inspiring internet
marketers out there. It sure does help to see information in action to learn right?

Okay enough gabbing lets get down to business shall we?

The authority site is based on a "How to" model and time its done it will at least have over 2000+ pages (Rough estimate)
Every page will be filled with 1000+ word LSI authority content (Glad I own a content creation business right!) with
how to instructional videos.

Just picked up the domain name and it goes something like "howtoexample.net" which I think will work out pretty damn
good considering its right on target for the niche and information users will receive. Already have plenty of nice keywords
selected and Serpbook ready to rock. I am going all out on this and making it about quality in quantity. Could care less
about link building or SEO tools at this point. The main aspect of SEO will be on page SEO.

How will I monetize it? Adsense at first and then if I can get traffic levels up enough I might rent out media space ect. With
the right platforms in place for monetizing and great content I do not see a problem with reaching a residual income of
$X,XXX per month.

I will update time to time when I am not working or counting money lol.....

Pick anything that is decent on ThemeForest. Sahifa is a great one which should go well with your needs.

I will be posting fresh content to the site daily so Google will eat it up. It's best to keep everything
fresh and add it on slowly. Thanks for the recommendation!

Budget?
Did you buy an aged domain?

Domain is not aged so I am working against that, however I am not in a rush. Since I have writers working
for me I just have to consider their wages which is not cheap, but I can handle the content. Budget is in order

I want to get at least 200-300 articles up quickly to make the website useful to every visitor and hopefully
gain some favor with Google. Afterwards I am drip feeding them to keep the website fresh.

For all of those asking about the time frame of the content. Authority sites are never "finished" per say and require
fresh content. I am giving it and injection of high quality LSI articles to start and then drip feeding.

I would like to mention a couple of things in this update. One thing you guys need to keep in mind is this is not a small
project that will be done in a couple of weeks. As of a matter of fact I have been jotting down all the categories of this
website and the possibilities of content is going beyond what I recently predicted. We are looking at over my estimated
mark of 2000 pages and currently I am working on my skills of producing high quality how-to videos for each page.

This project will take a couple of years to conquer and thus this Journey will not go away anytime soon. As some of you
may already know I bought the domain and I am letting it age a bit before I even start. This authority site is not for short term
gain but for huge gain for a long time in the future. I am relying on high quality content that has LSI related vocabulary and
naturally flowing keywords to make it rank. Not much link-building is going to happen here because I want this website
to be set in stone

What has happened so far?

• Keyword research is done.
• Theme has been picked out but I might change it later. (I like to refine a sight as I go)
• Domain has been bought and is sitting there aging which is what needs to happen.
• Some of the logos etc have been finished or at least the design of them. (Still have to adjust sizes etc)

Now just because this is a project that will last for years does not mean it will take that long to turn a profit. I will
add adsense on the website within about a month of it's initial launch. I will post some screenshots of the website
with the name blocked out as soon as its ready.

Great journey thread. There are a couple things I am interested and hoping you could share some insight on.

How do you do your keyword research? What tools do you use and what is the process you take?

Are you using wordpress? Also, what theme did you end up choosing?

Domain aging is obviously something you find important, why?

If you can answer these questions it'd be great, if not, no problem. Just thought I'd ask
