adding a "load more articles" button to a wordpress site

Hey bhw freelancers!

I have a wordpress blog with the 'nemesis' theme installed, and would really like to have more articles load whenever I scroll to the bottom of the page or when I click a button; ajax-style!

How much would I have to pay to get that done?

Details for anyone interested:
wordpress theme: nemesis (http://themeforest.net/item/nemesis-clean-design-for-creative-designer/2577225)
page I want it on: "portfolio 4 column filtrable", as included in the theme
delay: a week or two
budget: hit me with an offer!

thanks, dudes, but I already tried all that; I'm a developper at heart, and I tried doing it myself, but after a few days, I've realized I don't have time for it, and so, well, here I am.

plugins don't work, since the content is already loaded in a weird way by the theme page.
creating one, however, could solve this issue, but sadly, I've never made one, so I couldn't know for sure;

any dev's out there willing to help?

Do you have a basic understanding of how AJAX works? You should be able to implement it separately from your wordpress core. Use a text injector or snippet plugin to insert the javascript (load more link with callback function) on your home page. Then just upload the PHP file onto your server. And that's it, one php file and a short javascript.

If you're not familiar with javascript/php you might still be able to make it happen if you're a "developer at heart". Just write the php file, upload it, and sync it with the javascript you place in your HTML snippet on wordpress.

Use a text injector or snippet plugin to insert the javascript (load more link with callback function) on your home page. Then just upload the PHP file onto your server. And that's it, one php file and a short javascript.

That was basically the structure I had in my head. But I don't have the physical time to get it done;
I do know how ajax works rather well, Javascript in general and I'm at ease in PHP; I'm editing the PHP sources of the theme directly, so no need for a code injecting snippet, but one obstacle I had was getting the results shown into an external php page (connecting this new page at the wordpress framework), since the content injection is the easy part (a basic load() and a bit of code on the side).
Plus, the theme page that's responsible for loading contents is a big mess, from a coding point of view), and I have 2 other projects on roll right now, I'd rather just pay someone to do it.

so, again, for the last time, I'm gonna bump this thread and ask you guys if anyone can put something like this together?

the theme has it's own custom code for loading articles ... too bad we didn't think about it before doing all the work on this site ...

If you aren't picky about customization those will work just fine, but OP you will spend more time getting someone acclimated to your setup to do it than it should take you to do it yourself. If you want to pay someone it would be easy to have them do it and inject the code via snippet, otherwise they will need to understand your pre-existing CSS and PHP files. But if PHP is a breeze for you, that's the hard part. Upload that file and then set up and style some jquery in a fashion similar to this: http://www.w3schools.com/JQuery/jquery_ajax_load.asp

If you just did it, it would take you less time than trying to hire someone. If you aren't entirely familiar with the jquery part, trust me it will end up being a fairly simple script.
