Is This Negative SEO?

Hi guys, tbh i don't know to much about seo yet but im learning..

on one of my sites, i keep getting backlinks from this site: http://review-worldmarketings.com/ and other sites that look identical.. the sites look a bit spammy and all they seem to do is post thumbnails of other websites articles..

is this what the kids call neg SEO? or does the author actually like my content? i'm a bit worried as 8 out of my 14 backlinks are from these sites.

If you want to lose those links Disavow them using Google Webmaster Tools but that's a very low number.
If they climb rapidly with pure spammy links then you might be getting hit.

I am ranking first page for a good few of my keywords yeah. a few have dropped from 2 to 5.. its a new site though, only been adding content for 3 weeks

If you haven't been building links then the best thing you can do for yourself is to disavow them and remain safe.

Nope i havent built any links.. OK I'll disavow them.. I shouldn't do this for every link that comes in though should I? Just the ones that look dodgy? Thanks for your advice

you add the domain to the disavow list in webmasters.

That looks like a scraper site/autoblog. They are scraping your site and posting it for content.
It will be an issue if they are getting indexed before you.
You can disavow the links and try to block them.
Alternatively you could report them or just request that they stop.
