I have pretty much my projects stuff a little everywhere. So, sometimes I loose some track of stuff ..

So I wonder how you guys & girls organize your project

- content : when you have requested, where you keep it, when publish, which one used/available

- keywords tracking: put together info like affect on serps after this backlinks in my keywords

- income/expenses of the project

- projects tasks: past, pending and schedule

For content I use google docs and then dropbox for organize it and have it backup

Keywords tracking , I check my keyword tracking service and when there is a major change I take note into another excel specific for that project (not really practical)

- Project tasks I'm using a task simple software

Thanks for your thoughts

You can check out this http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/service-reviews-beta-testers-help-wanted/671274-beta-test-sitecommander-website-management-rank-tracking.html and see if that would fit.

You need to have always a to do list. Its much better to organize yourself.

[h=2]You can use some Project Management System Software to organize your projects, Few are free to some extend like icoordinator.
[/h][h=2]Different PMS have different features but some are common like : [/h][h=2]a) plan you projects and activities/tasks[/h][h=2]b) keep track of your time that has been spent on different tasks[/h][h=2]c) manage and track the income & expenses[/h][h=2]d) all your contact in a single place & manage them [/h]

I use Trello.com (free) and some excels/doc files in folders corresponding to each project to keep everything organized.

We do use the project management software and applications from Replicon that helps keep track of the projects with a eminent end result. I would recommend you as well to give it a try.

I use Evernote and add a new notepad for any projects i'm working on.

It's handy for work stuff and university notes too so it's good to have everything in one place.

For tracking clients keyword rankings and managing their tasks, we use our own in-house solution. Most software or 99% of the software out there today only does keyword tracking or tasks management only and not both at the same time. Ours does both so it keeps everything organized and simple.

Each of our clients get 1 campaign and 1 campaign has their keyword rankings, backlinks and tasks in it. Basically, its everything under 1 roof instead of separate tools for rankings, another tool for tasks and another spreadsheet for backlinks.

I would like to hear how other SEOs are doing this as well.

Thanks for mentioning SiteCommander guys! This is the exact use case I had in mind when I started building it. I just wanted to mention that it will be out of Beta testing before the week is over, and there will be a sales thread here after that with a nice discount for BHW members. In the meantime (free) registrations are open to anyone, you don't have to be a Beta tester. Just shoot me a PM if you have any questions!
