can I start over again with this domain name ?

Hello I like and don't want to let go of this domain name because its easy to remember etc. Well I registered this domain august 2013 and somehow some of its pages ranked on google search but as time pass by I decided to try another method of making money so I abandoned that website,the hosting expires and the contents is gone. Now I just want to ask if I can start all over again with this domain. I just want to know if my domain is penalized by google or ranking it will be impossible etc.

according to another website that :

So I did search it on google

well if we will talk about the "refering site" ofcourse it dramatically decrease because as I mentioned that blog was abandoned , content is gone,hosting expires etc.

Should I start with this domain or what ?

Did you built any spam backlinks with this domain?! Did you write original articles? If not, i don't see any reason that domain being penalised...

1. Spam backlinks ?

- no the website is still untouched I didn't build any backlinks to it

2.) Original articles ?
- Yes original articles, the only bad thing I did is posted alot lorem ipsum as "Test post" for my blog because I installed a new theme just to see how it looks when it has contents but I deleted them immediately. can that harm my website ?
