Not only that, my domain is now blocked by Facebook. It's currently ranking decently for keywords but as an authority site, I don't see this being healthy for the long run.

What I'm thinking of doing right now is duplicating that site and transferring it over to a new domain and 301 redirecting it.

Does it seem like a good plan or should I do something else?

Well it's not banned on G. Just on facebook because of the click jacker script.

I was thinking of maybe also a rebranding of my site instead of changing .com to .org.

Yes you can, your site is not penalized by google, so you can redirect everything. But why not try contact the facebook about your URL ban, I know its a long shot but some people have successfully removed the URL ban from facebook.

This is a good example why it's good to keep your branded domains (The ones you love) and the spammy throwaway ones seperate from each other.

The only thing you can do now is roll along to another domain, rinse and repeat.

That's what I do, espcially as FB (and other socials) ban your url for good.

Try buying a new domain, 301'ing the new domain to your website, and then see if Facebook will allow the new domain. Personally I would not do it the way you said, as Facebook often ban domains anyway.

301 was what I said I was going to do. Or were you referring to the click jacking stuff? If not then yea I'm not going to be using a click jack script anymore

well the only problem I can see happening though is the users probably still won't be able to share from the site itself since they'll be on the banned site
