Leaks are inevitable man.
The best thing you can do is monitor the internet for copyright. Using Copysentry from copyscape is a very good start:

beyond that you should just actively search keywords and see if anyone has taken your idea.

There are ways to add protection but your ebook WILL get leaked if people really want to share it.
I am pretty sure that there is pretty sophisticated OCR software out there these days.
Unless this ebook is revolutionary in some way, then it is probably better to concentrate on sales rather than making the life of your customers difficult.

It'll get leaked one way or another. If the content is getting leaked and a lot of people are craving for it then that's free marketing for you. Assuming that people are really biting into what you have written then there's a demand for a second book or there's a surge of people wanting to follow you in social media or in blogs or whatever so that actually is a good way to potentially earn more (in the future if you know how to play it right).

Since it's inevitable that e-books will get leaked, make sure you include plenty of affiliate links inside the book itself.

I think it's a waste of time worrying about your book being ripped - if someone can read it, they can rip it. The only way to keep it to yourself is, well, to keep it to yourself. But that makes selling it problematic.
So forget it - and focus instead on sales!

I wouldn't worry about it being leaked ! Actually the best selling books are the most downloaded one, best performing movies, are also the most seeded and downloaded ones. Check any Torrent website

If nobody cares to Crack, Upload, Share your Software, book, movie, then it's probably garbage and won't make any money

Check Top Viewed songs on youtube, and you will find that it belongs to the most selling albums and won a lot of rewards
