PayPal Negative Balance Issue

What happens when your US PayPal account gets disputed and is in negative balance? Does someone from a collection agency come over and take your money to pay off the negative balance? Or is it better to just start fresh?

Yes, they can contact debt agency to recover the funds. PayPal it's great way to receive and send money but has too easy refund policy and you can get this stupid problems. How much is the debt?

Well, it was just a question and nothing is owed. However, if you don't have a cc or bank account attached to it, and the address is fake, how will the agency track you down and get the money?

Mine went into negative balance by $8 in the past and my account was having issues at the time. It was all above board in my real name and real bank account so I just made a bank transfer to PayPal and it was sorted out in a few days.

I had -70$ on my previous account.. and i also had a credit card attached on this account which expired though.. I 've never paid the money, so they closed my account.. The next day i opened a new one and i use this instead ! It 's been a year and no one asked for this 70$..

if your account was fake than u have no problems in future!

it depends on where u live. if you live in USA, CANADA, UK, IRELAND and couple of more conutries, they will get the money via collecting agency. IF u do not live in those contries simply ditch the account, they can't do anything to you

Yeah i did not mention that i live in EU, so maybe thats the reason i 've never paid..
