Current Working SEO Strategies - May 27th 2014

I wanted to also mention that I set up webmaster tools on 2 SEO test sites that got the unnatural links warning.

After the linkprofile analysis I think I realized why these two websites got penalized. A majority of the links 70% where from the pbn even though they had natural anchors the links to the site all had either 6 or 1. There was only 30% of the links from other sources such as Wordpress.com and tumblr blogs, prweb and pinterest etc.

When I looked at other sites that didn't get the unnatural links warning but were on the same blog network the link profile was totally different. Instead of only 20-30 links (penalized websites) with an average of 6 or 1 links per domain these sites had over 100 and varied in the amount of links per domain think (600-1)

From this I think it is important to find ways to rank websites first with other techniques then use your PBN to finish it off. Also diversify your strategy and randomize it to an extent

Hey, thanks a lot for sharing this information! I'm just a little confused about what you said about the number of anchors you said you used. If you look in the quote at the words that are highlighted in red, what did you mean by 6 or 1? 6 or 1 of the same anchor text?

Thanks

OP says 'current working strategies' but seems none of them are working :)

@zombie So in Google webmaster tools they let you know how many links you received from a specific domain. I was saying that the websites that got penalized all had like 6 links from a domain or just 1 (It was probably due to the way I setup the websites). The anchor text was about 80% natural URLs, 10% brand name, 10% keywords

@WPRipper, My bad, I meant to say something along the lines of "What Are They Current Working Strategies?"

Great thanks for clarifying. This is all still valuable data that you could have kept to yourself. Plus actually spending some time tweaking things might result in more data. Not everyone appreciates data.

@Paulie, it was 6 links from 1 domain not 600. 6 links or 1 link in my case

So guys, when you recommend quality PBNs, is it important for links to remain on the homepage or an internal page could be equally good?

When you say "natural links", what are you referring to? domain.com, "click here" etc? Which of the test #s were the ones that got the warnings?

Different domain structures with different seo strategies would only mislead your case study. Make your structure the same and then try out different seo strategies to get to a better conclusion.
