Hello BHW. Long time no see.
Had a bit of a free time and I want to share with you a system I've tried to build in the last few hours. It is a pretty basic twitter follow exchange system but it might help some of you out. Here is what you have to do.
1) Go to: http://followtap.net (couldnt find a better name, xD)
2) Insert your twitter username and password and hit the big blue button.
3) Wait 20 seconds
4) Done.
Yes, it is very basic but hopefully it will work for you aswell. I only tested it over firefox and chrome not sure about IE or safari.
Why do you need to insert your twitter details ? Its a follow exchange system so you have to follow others too and so I can avoid twitter api (gh).
That's all. Let me know if it works or not.
The follows still die out, Still no fix for this issue op?

The followers r dropping fastly because twitter is able to find them as spam as they r going on following and also due to 2k following limit.

People have a tendency of following profiles that have other followers rather than totally new profiles. So these fake followers will give you that boost for getting targeted followers.

i tried this with a new account and it is hardly giving 40-50 followers. It is pretty good but I was just wondering if it used to give 500 followers, could you fix the bug?
