making the most of my content

I have a news area on my web site which i constanly posting to and it brings a little traffic.
How can i make more of this content.

I have seen in the serps that often an article is linked to a google account of a person or company? how does this work? I think its called autorship? Should i be doing this?
In an ideal world i would like to post it firstly on my site and then across various other sites like google+ and facebook? should i be doing this? and should i in someway be linking it to my google+ account?

Hey mate
im not sure about authorship but I know what you mean and you should probably be doing it.
also whenever you post new content you need to syndicate it as much as you can - link to it from social media, forums and so on, try and get as many ppl to see it as possible.

It was really good. Was expecting you there.
no plans as such, but I'm sure we'll do another one soon. Maybe in November for anyone in UK not going to the conference in Vegas.
