How to enable https sites through linux/squid proxies?

Wondering if anyone actually knows the answer to this. Is there anyway to configure squid so i can access any https site anonymously, or do i have to set an ssl certificate ahead of time? I have private proxies from a supplier, and don't seem to have any problems connecting to https site, how are they managing to do this?cheers.

yeah, i read that, and already past that stage, there isn't anything concrete though about the https, thats the last part i want to nail down. cheers anyway.

Well, I have no problems connecting to https sites through my proxies..

Here's my squid.conf, just the IP definitions is cut..

latest from yum... version 3.X something..

Compile squid manually and install. There is no issue in accessing https for me.
