Ranking and Backlink Strategy Question (and indexing tip)

Hey everyone,

I've been going through some trial and error on ranking YouTube videos.

I know there's multiple things to take into account
-Subscibers
-Views/Retention
-Likes
-Social Signals
-Backlinks in general
- and so on

What mix has been working most for you guys? I guess I'm more interested in the backlinks portion.

Through experience profile links and social signals have added some nice boost (especially G plus).

Also, a nice technique I've discovered to getting your links indexed faster:
1)E-mail your links to a big G email account as a link.. not just the text
2)Open up your links from within that email... the big G seems to index those links rather quickly
3)Get results
