Yes hctap do it because links in social media means more backlinks to your webpage, which in the future will be better ranking

OK will do! How do you recommend starting it up? As a page or a group? Or doesn't it really matter?

Just want to say thanks for all the comments guys, it really is great to have so many people spurring you on! Hopefully I'll learn something from this experience and then I can contribute to this forum a bit more actively!

I've taken what you said and had a look at the other journeys and, with regards to link building, come across these two services:

Lady Gaga Google Rider

(I can't post links yet so if you use the search funtion you should be able to find them)

They both look ideal for building back links and they look like they'd do a much better job than I'd be able to do personally, and they're within my budget. Does anyone have experience in using these two products? Also, would it be a bad idea to use one of them on my website which is just over a week old?

In terms of content, please bare with the newbie questions as I'm very new to this, would it be OK for me to manually spin articles I find (reword them without the use of a spinner) and stick them up so I have as much content as possible in as little time as possible and then use the tools above?

Wondering if anyone could share some light on the quoted post? Is it worth buying these services?

I would if you're trying to build a site with quality articles. Start to build a bit of a following in your niche on at least one or two social networks, it all helps with giving your site some authority and can help to bring in some traffic. Of course, you can then use some of the services on here to build your following on social media as well, but if you want genuine traffic through it then you need to build a bit of a natural following and engage with people too. Twitter is always a good place to start, Facebook has virtually fallen off the face of the earth as a source of free traffic these days.

So last night I added another article (bringing my total count to 10) and edited a few others to make them more appealing on the eye (images, videos etc.). Other than adding an article every day or every other day I'm a bit clueless as to my next move? My total visitors to the site now, according to Google Analytics, is 41, I don't know how many of them are real people, but I'd really like to see this figure increasing!

Is now a good time to start SEO, or should I wait 'till I have even more articles on the site?

Added a 1,000 word article to my first site, still waiting for confirmation that my 3 made to order micro niche sites are ready to start working on and I've begun working on getting some links to my site. Earnings still at 7p, but I'll keep adding an article per day or so and I'll keep working on those backlinks.

I'm not really happy with my home page content at the moment so I'm probably going to work on re-writing that today.

Currently my theme is very, very simple. White background, main content column and then a side column for categories, latest posts, google ads etc. then there's a menu at the top with my categories. Do you need anything more than this? Everything I've read about niche sites is to keep them simple and mine's about as simple as they come.

Where would be the best place for me to check my SERPs? I feel a bit stupid asking that as it's probably something I should have done a while ago.

According to Webmaster Tools I'm at 35 for one of my keywords and 250-300 for another two

So I've been sitting back a bit over the weekend waiting on my other niche sites to be finished, they look finished to me so I've emailed the supplier and asked what's the deal. Over the weekend I've added a few more articles to my main site bringing the total up to 12 good quality pages.

I n regards to the three sites I ordered, I've had confirmation that they're finished so I'm going to write/commission another 3-5 articles for each of those and then work on SEO for them

Hey guys, I've just checked my Webmaster Tools and according to that the average position for some keywords is #1. When I search these keywords myself, however, my page is nowhere to be seen, what gives with that? What's the best way for me to check where my page is appearing on Google for certain keywords?

Unfortunately the best ways to check your SERPs are all paid, and the free ones are rubbish. SERPBook is very popular but costs $5 a month.

So I've taken a bit of a backwords step over the last week just to take stock what I have, gather my thoughts etc. plus do some of the work that I'm actually employed to do in real life! I've seen a great amount of visitors to one of my Niche sites so I'm going to write a few more articles for that one tonight, I'm also going to tidy up the other ones I ordered (the articles are good, but could do with re-writing) and I have a few other articles to upload to my main site.

My earnings are still at 7p - I'm not rich yet!
